The plus side to the PHL-SMF is that I could sleep in my own bed one night and save on a hotel and do it without missing work.

Don't forget the possiblility of the free EUA.

Back when EZ Pass started, the default pin was the last 4 digits of your SSN. I'm not sure if they still collect that info though.

I've had one from day 1, originally from the PA but I think that I have now been sent over to NY and that is still my PIN. for years the PA ezpass did not carry the $1 a month fee but sometime in the last year or so they got to us with that.

Well, I got a counter on my offer for the house. At exactly the top of the limit I said* I'd pay for it (but still within it).

---- gulp ----

*ETA, I'm not an idiot. I didn't share that number with anyone.

I had a PA one, but the whole reason I dropped it and went to the NJ one is for the discounts on the bridges since i'm crossing them a lot more.

The NJ one has discount plans for your most-traveled artery, with choices of the Parkway, Turnpike, and Expressway. When I first got EZPass and was working odd casino shifts, it dropped my daily toll from $1 to .64, so I loved it. But that auto replenishment is a joke. My fiancee refuses to auto-replenish, and she actually goes and waits in line to deal with a human being to pay hers. Her closest place to do this in a real nasty neighborhood at the foot of the Ben Franklin. The fact that the the Delaware River Port Authority cops are a block away from this building does not suppress my desire to be packing when in that neighborhood.

ETA: Post # 4,600.

But too many potential buyers do not realize that the broker is (except in the case of the specialized buyer's broker) an agent of the seller and is obligated to transmit everything that the buyer has said and just about everything he/she knows about him.

It is not a very good system because too many unsophisticated buyers will refer to "my broker" when in fact this person is nothing of the sort.

Best of luck with your negotiation and keep trying to get the guy down some more.

It certainly is. I just don't know if it's worth screwing this pooch over, what amounts to, $10k. It's by far the best property/value I've seen and I've been looking for more than 2 years.

The other side of the equation is, is the seller wanting to torpedo the deal over 10k.

He's come down a lot more than I've come up. Although, that's more indicative of the current real estate market than anything else.

In this market, that could be surpassed at any time but if it really is the place where you put your feet down and knew it was for you, don't hesitate.

-sigh- I know.

I think I've cycled through 6 real estate agents since I started looking. I actually made one cry (which I'm kind of proud of. She deserved it). This is the only one I've found that seems to honestly listen to what I say.

And I'm sure that's being used against me.

"You put that in the ad!"
"Yes, and I have an interesting trade."
