Under the "Aircraft" tab, all currently existing routes serviced by the new 773 (SFO-HKG, EWR-TLV and SFO-NRT are listed) are listed as well as (yet to be converted) 763 and 772 types. For the 763 the listed starting date is "Fall 2017." For the 772 the webpage states "Winter 2017," which sounds optimistic to me as it sounds more like 4th quarter of 2017 than the previously announced first quarter of 2018. Zodiac's output of Polaris seats for all three aircraft types must be ultra smooth by now, if United wants to stick with its predictions. Can't wait to see the first converted 763 in mid July...

Dear XXXXX:
No announcement has been made to let us know when additional United
Polaris lounges will be opening. We are still renovating some of the
locations. Our United Premium Cabin Lounges page on our website will be
updated once the dates are announced. I've included the link for you
below.

This does not preclude any rumors from being true.

Wow, when they said "June" I automatically assumed June 30. That's great news!

(I assume no access for p.s. flights? )

Can you access the lounge, even if you are without an onward connection? I thought you usually could not get through security unless you had a boarding pass to depart on a flight out of the airport that day. I could be wrong as I have never done this, but just curious...

No. You need an onward BP to clear security.

Should have been clearer. Flying NRT-EWR-YYZ (NRT-EWR in UA J) on the same day

Kind of incentivizes hidden city ticketing, in a sense - you could access the Polaris lounge and then just walk out of the airport. That said, I would never take time in the lounge over time at home

At ORD they deployed technology that would detect situations where a person with eligible Polaris access entered the lounge but then didn't take an onward flight. I would not want to test this situation repeatedly.

I too cannot imagine going back through security just to spend time in the Polaris lounge after arriving on an int'l flight when I could be going home. They are nice, but not THAT nice.

What does that mean "deployed technology"? I can't imagine UA invested in anything of the sort to detect the handful of Polaris Lounge users who might do this monthly/quarterly.

My guess - just a simple database query that is run occasionally to compare BP scans from Polaris Lounge Entry to "no shows" for flights on the same day.
They don't need real-time visibility to this, just a check to see if someone is gaming the system. Probably would get an "alert" if it happens more than once or something.

TPG provided the only report I've seen on it: https://thepointsguy.com/2016/11/fra...-lounge-entry/

It's from this company: http://aimslounge.com/

Can they do that if the onward flight is on a different airline?
