Consolidated: Is united.com or parts of it down?
Workaround for Login & "Were sorry, but united.com was unable to complete your request." Problems:
Close United tab, clear browser cache, and delete all United cookies. Instead of logging back in using the home page yellow tile, click on the "Reservations -> Change or view reservations" link, and then login using the "MileagePlus: Sign in or join" link on the upper right of the page.

I recently booked 3 tickets, and two of them disappeared, though they had no trouble charging me for them instantly. The part where they take always works, it's the giving back that fails a lot. Anyway, I had to make 5 calls into web support over 2 days to deal with this crap, and my last call was with a great agent in SLC. After she found the missing reservations, I asked her why this happened, and she instantly said "I don't have time for why." It was clear she was as fed up as anyone and just wanted to do what she could to fix the mess and move on.

New website truly sucks.
Trying toggling between dates on an award search. At least for me, it has erred out of the last 24 hours.

The new United.com completely fails at remembering me if I close my browser, wait too long in between visits, etc. On both my laptop and desktop. It might as well not have the option.

When I use it, most of the time, it starts with a new slickly designed page, and then it jumps to a legacy Continental page.
It looks like "lipstick on a pig" - they just designed a handful of boxy/trendy pages on top of the old Continental site and revert to Continental UI/functionality for most functions.
I find the design/functionality of award search to be very good, initially, but then when you actually try to complete a booking, it blows up. If they were actually capable of competent execution, this has the potential to be an improvement, but alas, it's just more bugs, more problems, more time, more calls, more frustration.

Is it really a new site?

Problem is the errors in our favor were taken away (no copays, holds, etc) and new errors have been added.
Worst of all, the new website is so darn slow. Just going from one date to another on the award search tool takes at least twice as long as before. I hate it.

When I view a reservation, the yellow tab is obnoxiously wide and cryptically lists my destination as my departure. This is happening on all of my reservations.
Example: "Depart MXP - Confirmation XXXXXX"
Anybody else seeing this?

Strange fare summaries?
Any interpretations?

Seems to happen for any search right now, logged/expert mode or not.

Here's a suggestion: If your web site shows an itinerary available for purchase, and allows the purchase to complete, make sure it's actually available.

The new website is indeed the old website with a new skin.

I find it to be much easier on the eyes than the dog it replaced.
I don't miss the old website at all.
