Close United tab, clear browser cache, and delete all United cookies. Instead of logging back in using the home page yellow tile, click on the "Reservations -> Change or view reservations" link, and then login using the "MileagePlus: Sign in or join" link on the upper right of the page.

Is it just me, or has the color scheme changed slightly?

When I searched domestic award tickets, the display on the amount of taxes was within a factor of 2 ($11.20 instead of $5.60), which would eventually be corrected at the end of the booking. However, the displayed amount was much higher today (12.5k miles
+$80.60). I guess that the programmers did work too hard last night.
Edit: Never mind, $75 close-in fee was added to the total even though the fee should be waived for me. United did not charge it when the ticket was issued (It was displayed throughout the purchase process). But I need to double check my credit card.

Edit2: The credit cards were charged with $75 close-in fees. The receipt says: "Award Booking Fee $75." On the "manage reservation," it was twice as much ($300 for two tickets).

Website still seems to come up with a lot of error messages. And the "change flights" tab still does not work on any of my remaining reservations. IE and Chrome.

The new website has major cookie issues with IE (on my work desktop, work laptop, and home laptop) where it will "forget" who I am after loading the itinerary summary and error out on literally anything after (e.g. change seats, change flights, view receipt...)
OTOH, in Chrome I've had no problems changing flights except for those reservations with segments booked in B and instaupgraded to PN and an award reservation where I was booked XN but waitlisted for IN before deciding to go a different route (figuratively and literally). I think the B->PN issue has existed for a while, bout I don't remember it being so annoyingly consistent until the new site rolled out.

Today I've been seeing a "tips" splash screen while the site is searching for flights.

If this problem of charging Platinum and 1K close-in booking fees persists for a few days, I will ask moderator to start a new thread.

Last week a miles upgrade came through. Got an email about it, and the online itinerary showed the upgrade. But the website wouldn't let me choose a seat in first. So I called CS, and the computer routed me to web support. It took the web CS rep 10 minutes to get me a seat. And she said those in web support are as frustrated as we customers are with the new site.
