Workaround for Login & "Were sorry, but united.com was unable to complete your request." Problems:

Close United tab, clear browser cache, and delete all United cookies. Instead of logging back in using the home page yellow tile, click on the "Reservations -> Change or view reservations" link, and then login using the "MileagePlus: Sign in or join" link on the upper right of the page.

Can someone tell me how to search the old site?

For whatever reason, I am not seeing the same thing at least a couple of other people here see when I search for award space on SFO > SJO in March of next year.

I've tried on two different computers, with 3 browsers. In every case I see dates that are shaded in blue, indicating premium saver award availability, but when I scroll through the list of options it says "Not Available" under Business Saver Award. Not a single saver award is listed.

Also, as you can see in the screenshot below, in the drop-down menu it only lists Economy and Business Standard as options. Business Saver isn't listed. I do not have any filters listed that would preclude the Saver options from appearing, as far as I can tell.

Do you see flight AV561 in your search results? That flight, connecting to AV 621 or AV 671 has I inventory for both segments on the 2nd of March.

Try going to the Advanced Search page (https://www.united.com/ual/en/us/fli.../book-a-flight) and expand the section which says My Search Preferences. Do you have it set to only UA/UAX there? If I do that I get only 3 pages of results. Without that I get 4 pages and the above-mentioned results.

So it seems likely that there is a filter applied, just not one which can be removed on the search results page.

As an alternative, try this link and see if it returns the results with the AV flights listed.

Thanks so much for helping with this. I checked my preferences as you suggested, and it says "all airlines":



However, I could not find UA561, and there were only 3 pages of search results.

When I clicked on your link, I see the Business Saver Awards listed and there are 4 pages of search results.

So I think you are correct: there's a filter somewhere that is selected but I have no idea what or where to change it!

I am trying to find a way to search +/- 3 days as you could from the home page of the old site.

I see where I can choose flexible travel, but that results in a fixed number of days.

I searched this thread and read 10+ pages, but didn't find an answer to this. Mods, if I've missed it, I'm sorry and could you point me in the right direction.

Is this a function that has disappeared?

On the results page, you'll see the cheapest fare in a 3 day window at the top left.

At 10:55 pm central, the new website is trying to charge me for E+ on two flights and I am Prem Plat, and signed in as such! Granted, two legs are international, but it's on UA metal, UA flight numbers. GRR! Will call, but I don't really have time for what should be straightforward rez.
At this point, the post with instructions on how to return to the old site should be a sticky!

OTOH, the old site (using different browser) doesn't seem to recognize Expert Mode for me anymore...can't see the fare buckets.

I opened an Incognito window in Chrome, thinking that it might be an issue with cookies or cache. Unfortunately, I'm still not seeing the proper results.

It must be a setting somewhere, because when I clicked on sbm12's link, I was able to see the the full results. But I've looked through preferences in my Mileage Plus account, and on the advanced search pageand can't find anything that seems like it would affect search results.

Any ideas?

New site worked for booking a trip earlier this morning, but regardless of browser, just a blank screen now as well. Thankfully the mobile app seems to work properly...for now.

Also, what took minutes if not seconds to book a trip with the prior site took an extra ten minutes this morning. I'm sure some of this is a learning curve on my part, but I preferred the old site, and truth be told, I preferred the PMUA site most of all. I made the mistake of choosing "my dates are flexible, which used to bring up a calendar allowing one to quickly see options, now I have to screw with only seeing a departure date with a quantity of days, which is not as useful. Typical UA FAIL...

FWIW, that used to happen to me on a regular basis on the old site. Never got an answer as to what caused it, either online or by calling CS. Thankfully it never prevented me from being able to book an award since it was always eventually possible to find something bookable. So my guess is that it is unrelated to the web site as such and is a bug (or feature!) at a different layer of the reservations system.

I think they have taken it down for a while, just logged in and went right back to the old site!! Change takes time I guess!!

I'm now getting the old site as well.

Maybe I hadn't learned the new site well enough yet but I much prefer the old site.
