As of Oct. 26, 2015 it no longer seems possible to access the old version of the website.

Close United tab, clear browser cache, and delete all United cookies. Instead of logging back in using the home page yellow tile, click on the "Reservations -> Change or view reservations" link, and then login using the "MileagePlus: Sign in or join" link on the upper right of the page.

Expert Mode is still there -- under "details"

The old scripts don't work on the new site but also see http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/unite...nited-com.html for a script that works on the new site.

B .Still exists for me.
A. Like I said, not a big deal. That's more of an issue of confusion for n00bs not expecting it (who will then email me asking why saver awards went up).

B. I could care less about paying with Paypal, but it no longer holds a ticket like it did on the old site after clicking paypal (clicking return to United.com just produces an error). And other hold tricks also no longer work on the new site.

C. The biggest issue for me is the loss of the nonstop award calendar.
Come up with a tool/extension to remedy that and I'll gladly subscribe (once the old site is no longer accessible). The thought of manually clicking on every date on the calendar to find which ones have nonstop saver awards sends shivers down my spine.

"Old" site, but Grease Monkey scripts not working

Trying to plan a TPAC using GPUs. Logged into UA, got "old" site, specified W fare, but unable to see available upgrade buckets. Checked browser settings, all Grease Monkey scripts still there, checked my profile/preferences on UA site, even re-enabled Expert mode. No luck ... still cannot see availability for R ... not even R0. BTW, sometime recently I'd gotten the new web site, so I had installed the latest "Expert" script ... does this one only(?) work on the new website, so it no longer works on the old site. Huh???

As I was composing this message& posted it, I now see that Post #377 addresses almost the same experience. Apparently old scripts don't work on new site, but do new scripts work on old site???

New style website - booking price errors

Just been trying to book flights on the new style United.com site and am finding prices vary so differently from google flights ..some prices are well lower on United than google flights.

DUB to LAX is a good 100 cheaper..

The site is appalling to use and puts me off using it ..the old site was great this one is so confusing and after 10 years have to learn how to use this ..

No doubt some overpaid wizz kid in his teens is responsible for this mess.

The only advantage is I might get some flight bargains due to the errors showing up

It's a different booking engine behind the scenes... so not so much a pricing 'error', but rather a new mechanism for pricing flights.

As you can tell, the new site prices by segment, rather than as a whole trip. That alone is a big change, especially for those of us who are used to checking in quickly to see what a round-trip costs... takes more mouse-clicks to do that now.

Some of us felt the same way about losing the old pmUA site and switching to the pmCO site.

I'm ready to retire, and I like the new site. When DL rolled their new site out, it was buggy and frustrating, but they ironed out the bugs. I suspect UA will do the same.

I hope so ..one reason I haven't moved to AA was the because of the easy way to use the old United site as I didn't like the AA site

The new website is simply awful - I tried to purchase two tickets this morning - one to Tokyo and one to Dubai - in both instances it told me there were no business class seats available to purchase at all for a September 28th / October 8th flight - while Google flights had no issues - great work UA....

While I agree with you generally on the new site...how do you know this isn't an issue with Google Flights? Maybe I'm just not following.

Same question here. I got the new site, now its back to the old site???? From a customer standpoint, its just crazy to push someone over to a new site then have them go back to the old one. Really says United has no idea how to run a web-business. For the vast bulk of people it is just confusing.

Help me! My fare codes keep repopulating and it's like trying to play space invaders without being able to shoot!
By the time you see this it will already have doubled in size!

I can't make my reservation because the whole page keeps shifting down.

If you are setup not to save cookies or to erase cookies, this removes the method UA has for knowing you were "switched" to the new site. Since erasing / blocking cookies is what some "savvy" internet users do, they will see this issue.

The only other customer identification is via the log on process and that is too late to make the determination.

How is log on too late? It's easy to switch the user at that point.
