Consolidated: Is united.com or parts of it down?
Workaround for Login & "Were sorry, but united.com was unable to complete your request." Problems:
Close United tab, clear browser cache, and delete all United cookies. Instead of logging back in using the home page yellow tile, click on the "Reservations -> Change or view reservations" link, and then login using the "MileagePlus: Sign in or join" link on the upper right of the page.

Didn't there used to be an option to to limit search results to UA-only metal? I don't see it anymore.

Whoa, in the new flight search, "fares are each way based on a round trip purchase" — which does not totally make sense for a multicity search and which also makes it very difficult to guess what total a/i price will be charged for an itinerary.
That's not super cool. I miss the old flight search experience which showed the lowest total a/i price as you were picking each sector.

I can't seem to book a very simple multi-city reward:
IAH-SJO 11/25
SJO-IAH 11/29
CLL-LAS 12/12
"We are unable to process your request. Please see the message below for details.
No flight schedule could be retrieved using your search criteria. Please use the form below to start a new search."
Stoopid!!!!

a single open jaw/stopover.
I tried another more straightforward routing of:
IAH-SJO
SJO-CLL
CLL-LAS
and it doesn't like that either
I just want to use my miles....

I noticed a few things using the link I posted earlier (http://www.united.com/web/en-US/default.aspx?root=1)....
Ancient laptop running an outdated version of safari works on the old site
Much newer iMac with current versions of safari and firefox started defaulting to the new version where I noticed that the bookmark in my two browsers was www.united.com even tho the link for the bookmark was the one noted above. I changed the bookmark link to the one that works for the old site in both safari and firefox, flushed my history, cache & cookies and restarted both browsers and they now default to the old site so maybe checking the actual link to your bookmark and changing it may work for you?

Yes, a clean cache + ual.com gives you the old site.
If you try united.com you'll get the new site, and you'll keep getting the new site even if you try ual.com afterwards. Only way back is to clean the cache and then go to ual.com again.

With the ever larger and larger numbers of miles given away to CC holders plus less and less capacity, are you sure you want that feature?
With a popular destination like HNL, you may find there are never any non-stop saver awards. It is better to make it harder to find. Easy to find would drastically reduce inventory to those who have the patience and knowledge to find it.
It's a tradeoff, but in leaner FF times, it may be a good one. I would prefer the casual searchers to take whatever is offered, leaving the hidden gems to those with more patience.

Now it means having to peck through Every. Single. Date.
Can't do that several times a day without losing a my mind.

Why, oh why, do they clutter up the display with non-important (useless?) information but have to click 5 times to see key data?
Just tried looking at seat map from the search results screen. Does anyone at all care that the 777-200 has a wingspan of 199 feet, 11 inches or inane propulsion data (Two Pratt and Whitney PW4077 engines, rated at 77,000 pounds of thrust each)? Seriously?
This craps takes up a third of the screen width on the seat map section, so only a portion of the cabin can be seen on the map. How many clicks to scroll through the whole cabin....5! Five clicks to see a complete seat map!

I want to know the plane, so I can avoid RJ's. I want to see expert mode. I want easy access to check seats. I don't need to know the plane specs. Provide a link for the 3 people that ever look at that. The whole site is just too many clicks.
