I haven't no. I'm originally from Ontario so I've kept my Ontario driver's license as I eventually intend to return after my TN. Also I live in NYC so I don't have a car and as such no insurance or registration for my car. You think it may be best to just postpone until I can get a utility (internet) under my name on this address?

Surely there must be an email or fax number for one of these NEXUS offices. Can someone please PM me with that? I was in YVR this weekend and they updated a few things on my profile. The data entry person obviously had their fingers in the wrong location on the keyboard, because now parts of my profile are complete "gibberish" from having their fingers positioned incorrectly exactly one space to the left.

GEEEZ!

I really don't want to have to travel to an office to fix this.
They were also supposed to get rid of my old phone number and add my new phone number. The latter did happen, but they never got rid of my old phone...

And a couple of other typo's and stuff.

In your case, it is quite unusual. Most people have their driver license or Identification (ID) Cards issued by DMV as their main identification. Which usually has the current address.

You may wish to explain to your interview officer with your intent; why you have not changed your DL address.

July 19, 2016, to August 19, 2016: Public consultation for suggested regulatory amendments

shuuy Jul 20, 2016 7:29 am

Reactions to the suggested amendments? I do like the clarity, but it's much more about major offences, instead of the ones that frequent this board (is a laptop commercial equipment, do I declare a bottle of water etc.) Are these the "multiple minor transgressions" they speak about?

A requirement of TN status is to remain a Canadian resident. I presume that may be a factor in keeping the Ontario DL although presumably there is a bricks and mortar address in Ontario that is considered the official "home" of the driver. (Maybe Mom's house?)

I have retained my Canadian address, Ontario DL etc. for the duration I have been in the US on TN. I am merely sojourning at my US address during the TN project. It is my accommodation, not my address.

However, if you really want to give the US address and not the Canadian residence, in most cases, a TN is employed at a US company (maybe not as a Management Consultant for a Canadian consultancy.) Do you have any HR paperwork showing the US address you are using?

Bad:
I was really getting worried that there was an issue with my Nexus renewal. I renewed online back in late May, and had heard nothing until today. Two and a half months; not impressive.

Good:
I got my renewal notice today, and I don't even need to go in for a re-interview like my wife did. Should be getting a new card in the mail according the message I received

do you have to wait for your card to add your "known traveler number" KTN to your airline accounts?
applied June 13th.

I was told to "activate" my card on the GOES website once I received it, so I suspect that it isn't recognized till then.

Happy to be corrected - then I will start using it as well.

Is the application number what shows up on the Nexus card?

Your NEXUS and Global Entry Cards are identical except name of the card. Your PASSID number is on both cards. That is the number you enter in "known traveler number" KTN to your airline accounts.

The number works immediately after you've been approved, at least that's what CBP claim.

It definitely isn't linked to "activation" of a card given that plenty of GE members don't even get a card, but still get Pre.

Nope; just take the pass ID # from the GOES website, and you're good to go.
