How were the pictures on the cards? I wear glasses and the picture definitely makes me look a few eggs short of a dozen.

As greglvnv mentioned, quality is very poor. I do not look like my GE card's picture. |
Nexus updates
Has anyone attempted to update their documentation by emailing Nexus at [email protected]
If yes, how much time did it take for them to update your records? I emailed them about 2 weeks ago and I have yet to see the updated info show up on the Nexus web site. |
What really happens in interview?
Could any one share what exactly is the purpose of interview apart from checking original documents?
Do they ask why we need Nexus card and need proof of all our previous and current work? Thanks! |

Interesting. Just rescheduled a family member's interview at Buffalo-Ft. Erie from 6:30pm to 4pm this Friday (moving things up a couple of hours so we have time to do stuff afterwards). However, the first page you see after selecting that enrollment center says that the earliest appointment available is 1200-1215 on Friday (September 16), but when you click through, it only shows the 4pm slot (well, showed--I took it). Not sure if this is a bug or a caching error on their end or what...

Long story short, I got rejected a few hours after my interview. The process was about what I expected. ... So, here's a little about me, in case anybody stumbles across this and is in a similar situation. In the last five years, I've traveled to multiple countries that can raise eyebrows during questioning: Cuba, Egypt, Tunisia, multiple central African countries, and Iraq, all for tourism purposes. (Yes, you can go to Iraq as a tourist! It's fascinating on many levels, if also frustrating.) I also have a minor arrest (trespassing) from over 10 years ago where I was found innocent. I also, to be blunt, have long hair and do draw a bit of attention from authorities when I travel to other countries, albeit usually to confirm that I really do look like the person in my passport (short hair and no beard). While I know it's still possible to get NEXUS, I knew this could be an uphill battle. |
I just received my new Nexus card and activated it. My old card still has money loaded on it for the Niagara Falls toll bridges. Does anyone know if the money transfers to the new card or if I need to keep the old card until it's empty?

How can I get my existing account balance transferred to my new card when I get a new NEXUS card? When you get a new NEXUS card the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission will transfer your account balance from your old card to your new card. The process may take up to 2 weeks due to information transfers between NEXUS and the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission. Therefore if you are a frequent crosser please don’t destroy your old card until you have had a successful trip with your new card or you can put $5.00 on your new card and when the transfer takes place your old balance will be transferred to your new card. If you experience a delay greater then 2 weeks, please contact the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission at U.S. 716-205-0681, Canada 905-353-6681. |

I apologize if this is redundant but I'm brand new to the Nexus/GE world. Was just conditionally approved and had been following the thread on how long that takes (I'll post my timeline there, too).
When I went in to schedule the interview, I noticed the button to "change to Global Entry". http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/b...23.23%20AM.png I just want to make sure I should not be clicking that, as what I primarily want is Nexus. Global Entry would be a bonus, but I don't want to screw up Nexus. Can anyone help confirm that I should click Schedule Interview here? |
