Again Thanks KVS, hopefully the last question for a while, to which I think I know the answer but would like confirmation.
From the previous post SQ has (among many) a fare based routing of: YOW-YYZ-LAX-SEL-SIN-AKL. I am assuming this fare based routing applies only to the SQ product and would not allow me to fly different carriers on the same route to access greater availability, in particular a different carrier out of LAX? |
Down?
KVS Tool Down?
I keep getting an error message: "error requesting data...error 12029...cannot connect...error 9002...no data received" www.kvstool.com doesn't seem to want to open either Any ideas? |

Odd...yes...www.kvstool.com works fine on my blackberry.
I guess the issue is on my end...worked fine on both my computers a couple days ago and now neither will connect to KVS...guess I'll mess around a bit more to try to resolve the issue. |

Once you have found a suitable routing, you should be able to use any *A carrier for award purposes.
Thanks again for your help during my first foray into awards bookings ex-egll |
I have not had the need to look for international award tickets in a while, so I was dismayed to see I have to use several different search methods to explore. Worse, it appears that the M&M engine can't be used until you actually put miles on the account. Can anyone tell me if using the Krisflyer engine shows the same information as the M&M engine?
Thanks, Eileen |

However, unless you will actually be redeeming from a M&M / SQ KF account respectively (and are looking to take advantage of the expanded Award Availability for the members of those FFPs), the only Method you would need to use is [Award/StarAlliance], which supports AC/UA/CO/US/LH/LX/OS/SK/TP/LO/JK/BD/TK/SN/A3/SQ/NZ/NH/OZ/TG/CA/FM/SA/MS/JP/OU/KF. |

Any chance you could implement what is arguably a very EU centric (and not so much air travel) feature?
When I shuttle back and forth between the UK and the continent and certain northern EU cities, I frequently like to look at both the trains and planes, sometimes using a combination of the two. The tool currently recognizes "QQS" and "ZYR" and many other (possibly all) IATA codes for train stations, but it doesn't have them saved under either the "LON" all airports or "BRU" all airports, or for that matter under their real names (St Pancras, Brussels MIDI, etc). I always forget the IATA codes for train stations, the airports have some rhyme or reason to them, but XPG and ZYR, try as I may I cannot remember them. Any chance you could (1) build the train stations into the major cities "all airports" codes and/or (2) include the common IATA train station codes so we dont have to look them up? (BTW, I use http://www.reference.com/browse/IATA+codes to look them up) |

Source for Minimum Connection Time data?
KVS Diamond includes a minimum connection time tool. Does anyone know the source of this tool? Perhaps someone with a packet sniffer can check?
(I don't otherwise need the KVS tool, but I would like to check a MCT for a single itinerary where AA EXP Desk is strangely disallowing my preferred routing, apparently due to a MCT shortfall.) |
DNS problem?
Is there a DNS problem with kvstool.com? I can't resolve the name on Rogers or on one other network I tried, although the servers at my office still appear to have it cached.
Code:
montecarlo 6 % nslookup -q=NS kvstool.com[KVS Availability Tool 6.0.6/Diamond - Internet Connection Test] Code:
