In the KVS Tool Version 6.1.4 (released today), you can now force a specific connection point when using the [Awards/StarAlliance] Method. The chosen connection point will also be saved when you add an itinerary to [My Trips].

For example:

[KVS Availability Tool 6.1.4/Diamond - SNT: Awards/StarAlliance/JP-ANA-SP1]
Code:

LAX  Los Angeles Intl CA US [KLAX]

Hi, I'm getting "The reservation system is temporarily unavailable..." using the KVS mobile tool. This is been going on all morning. I would like to see the availability for AC982 May 21.

Yep. Working now. thanks.

Looks like Sabre/FS changed something and it is now messed up. Queries come back with airlines and flights, but Depart/Arrive times are 0:00 and the A/C column is totally messed up, sometimes with strings of HTM, sometimes n/a. Not sure how well this is going to paste in:

Thanks for the quick response. Got one more - for the Star Alliance search the dropdown for individual airlines is missing Turkish (TK) and it says 26 airlines while there are actually 27.

Diamond or Platinum Level

I'd like to sign up for KVS but not sure if I need Platinum or Diamond level.
I need to search for award availability using AA miles for our upcoming trips to China and Vietnam in Jun 2012. Should I get Diamond or Platinum? I'm mainly interested in the following segments: LAX-PEK, PEK-SGN, SGN-LAX. Please advise.

Not all UA award/upgrade flights showing

Just upgraded to 6.1.5 and for searches under ITA awards-upgrade/UA I noticed the results are not showing all of the flights that United.com is showing. The flight is simply not listed on KVS, whether or not an upgrade is available, while it is listed on United.com (and sometimes with upgrades available). Any advice?

Thank you.

Could you please provide a specific flight #/date example?

Welcome to the KVS Tool!

As your itinerary is likely to include segments on CX and/or JL, the Diamond level (which we see you have already selected) would be the recommended option.

You just need to narrow-down the search by specifying the departure [Time] (e.g. 19:00):

Thanks that worked. I looked for this in the threads and also on the User Guide but couldn't find anything: I don't suppose there is a way to have all flights listed in one search? Or do you recommend a particular method for seeing/gathering all of the flights? Otherwise, it seems a little uncertain/trial and error.

BTW I love KVS...I couldn't fly without it! Thanks again.

Using the example above, say there are 15 flights per day between origin (e.g. WAS) & each of the 5 possible connecting points (e.g. ORD/DFW/DEN/LAS/STL), as well as between each connecting point and the destination (e.g. SFO).

This means that there can be up to 1125 (15*15*5) possible flight combinations, and that's with just a single connection!

You can be certain to see all non-stop/direct flights (and can build your own connections). Otherwise, you do need to narrow down the search to a reasonable level, since most engines will display the top 15~40 results.
