question about mct tool

connecting D to I on CO to LH at EWR...according to this tool (i don't know how the read the exceptions that well)..is the mct for the above 90 min instead of the standard 75? I was thinking about buying a ticket with 85min..may not be possible?
Thanks.

Easily at EWR - provided you are not coming in from an international destination, where you *might* be delayed by long immigration lines, even as a US citizen...

Your understanding is correct. Therefore, 85 min would be an illegal connection if you are trying to have both flights on a single ticket or are checking baggage.

I have never used KVS or any other similar program, After reading a bit of the Q&A, it looks like you can learn quite quickely on how to use the tool.
Any comments on how easy/hard it is to learn how to use KVS for basic function:

Award
MR
avail/pricing

Thanks

New user question:

What does "CX+" mean? Listed under the Availability column, Awards/Upgrades tab, Delta international flight?

Thanks

"+" usually means space is available. C usually business class. Not sure what X means.

Thanks - looked on that page a couple of times, but didn't see it until now.

One more question - is there any way to see Delta "Z" availability (required for coupon upgrade from Y to biz)?

Presently, no.

If you have read the User Guide/FAQ, then you have probably learned it already -- many KVS Tool users use the Tool without even reading the Guide :).

I started playing with KVS today, and go a good handle on award avail.
I just can't seem to find a good way to find MR's and good fare yet.

Everytime I find a fare and try to send it through the ITA, it shows no result?

Just because a fare is published doesn't mean that it will have inventory available to buy (which is what ITA is checking). That's part of the fun of chasing a MR fare.

In other news, any word on when the ANA/*A search will be working again?

Is ANA/*A search in KVS not working for you? I know that ANA made some changes, but it seems like KVS is robust enough that it was not affected.

I was able to pull up partner results without problem in KVS.

Are you validating the fare (as outlined at http://Help.KVSTool.com/#Using in steps 1-3) before using the ITA option?

That is correct: KVS Tool is not affected by the recent changes to the ANA website, and KVS Tool members can continue to enjoy uninterrupted access to Star Alliance award/upgrade availability.
