Trying to get the economy vs business vs first class fares on Jet Airways (ie YYZ-DEL, or between DEL-SIN), the list of fares for business or first class are the same that are displayed for economy.

Trying this for TG, at least for DEL-SIN, the problem also arises.

I tried this for you as well - common problem with KVS and 9w fares...

Sabre/Zuji is giving biz fares: I/Z/C/J, but no F fares.

Sabre/Dotres is giving only Y fares - nothing else.

I would simply go to www.jetairways.com and see what they are charging there, for reference.

You might wish to check with consolidators, as I know that one (JFK-based) I talked to was going to discuss fare agreements with Jet late summer this year (2007).

These issues are, most likely, caused due to the way certain Asia-based carriers [mis-]load fares into the system, so there isn't anything I can do to change that...

I hope that you (and other Windows developers) recognize that for Mac users this is a completely useless Windows-centric answer.

I have been a customer of the tool for some time, but only because I have a Windows laptop in my environment. For those who are solely Mac users, it is unreasonable to expect them to use an emulator to run your application.

My response is - why isn't it written to be platform-independent?

For a Mac person, I would say that EF is a better choice. For now, I use both.

The use of a Mac is one's choice and I certainly respect that. I am willing to make reasonable accommodations in terms of compatibility (for example, an alternative keyboard shortcut was introduced to accommodate Mac users, who couldn't "right click").

Re-writing 15 000+ lines of code and taking a hit on decreased application performance from the use of "platform-independent" solutions? Sorry, but I would have to say no.

In any case, now that Apple had finally acknowledged the idiocy behind using a non-Intel processor architecture on consumer-grade machines, running a Win32 application on a modern Mac is easier than ever: http://kvs.unrealnetwork.com/Images/...elsDesktop.gif

Please tell me how I can do so without purchasing a copy of Windows for a significant price?

Or, to rephrase, in an Internet world, why a client at all?

Edited to say: I'm not trying to turn this personal against your business. I believe I've purchased 2 full subscriptions at the PLT level now, matter of fact. I'm just saying that pointing Mac users to a virtualization option may not get quite the warm response you expect. Many users would say if they wanted to run Windows, they'd have bought a Windows machine.

I think that this might be the wrong kind of forum for that :p.

Firstly, it's a performance issue -- no web-based solution will ever be as fast a well-written native [Win or Mac] application. Secondly, there are currently operational/technical constraints for making the Tool web-based.

Indeed, and I certainly appreciate your continued support of the project.

Greetings,

I was wondering if this could be something to work on in the future perhaps. KVS is giving me this as below:

[KVS Availability Tool 3.0.0/Platinum - Amadeus: Timetable/NL-BCDF]
Code:

SIN  Singapore Changi SG [WSSS]
LAX  Los Angeles Int'l CA US [KLAX]
MON  03 Mar 2008 - 10 Mar 2008

Carrier  Flight From Depart    To  Arrive    A/C  St  Frequency | Dur'n | Dep T | Arr T | Effect | Ending | Exceptions
--------- ------ ---- --------- ---- --------- ---- ---- ----------------------------------------------------------------
SQ        28    SIN  17:15    LAX  18:40    EQV  1    123456-    17:25      3      B  03 Mar  10 Mar  Mon 10 Mar
SQ        28    SIN  17:15    LAX  19:40    EQV  1    1-----7    17:25      3      B  03 Mar  10 Mar  Mon 03 Mar

As you can see it is EQV.

But if you access via another Amadeus system you get this:

TN01MARTPELAX/ASQ -TC-
** AMADEUS TIMETABLE - TN ** LAX LOS ANGELES.USCA 01MAR08 08MAR08

1 SQ 028 257 TPE 2 LAX B 2255 1840 0 02MAR08 07MAR08 772 11:45
2 SQ 028 1346 TPE 2 LAX B 2255 1840 0 01MAR08 08MAR08 77W 11:45

Which clearly shows B77E operating on Tuesday, Friday Saturday with the B77W operating on all other dates making it a daily service.

Is it just a case of different POS access points?

The current timetable engine does not 'break-up' flights if the only difference is the equipment type. This is done by the engine itself, so I have no control over this...

Ahh OK. Thanks KVS!

FYI
The Alaska award tool sometimes seems to do a superior job finding Skyteam bookings in the domestic US, in particular where AS/Horizon or DL/Skywest flights are required (in other words a big swath of the west coast). The AS tool also shows AA awards, and so it's really a nice supplement to both the ST and OW functions you have built into KVS. I know most people dont have AS accounts, but given how well it does building unconventional routes in the domestic US when the NW itool shows the same old 12:55am redeye, it is worth checking out.

Thanks for the info -- I will look into this...
