Thanks KVS.

Just wondering is galileo the best for searching MH flights?

Cheers,
Kenn.

For this flight, you can also see the graphical seat map using Galileo.

For availability, I would use Apollo, Amadeus, or Sabre.

For graphical seat maps, Galileo is the only option for MH.

Anyone else getting a datasource error when using Amadeus availability?

Message reads:

Datasource error: Document MovedObject MovedThis document may be found here

And I think KVS is going away for a month from today too...

Not a very good timing, but fortunately, I do have a back-up for Amadeus in place and a new version should be released by the end of today...

So there is no more way to track R class for CO?

CO's R Class

CO's R class is now available via the Sabre: ITN method of the KVS Tool, instead of Amadeus: AUA: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showt...72#post6174672

Does the availability as shown on KVS or other tools update First availability as status upgrades clear, for example on DL or US?

e.g. For the next LGA->ATL flight as of this writing, at 3pm, it shows F1 A0 availability; the following flight at 3:59pm has F4 A3 availability. Seat maps on Delta.com seem to roughly agree--3pm flight has 1 unassigned first seat, 3:59pm flight has five unassigned first seats (suggesting one person hasn't checked in yet).

But can there really be that many empty First seats on a LGA-ATL flight? I would think there would be enough status-holders on such a flight to fill up the seats in front, and well before the day of departure.

Anyone know how KVS shows only J1 C0 I0, but yet when selecting my seats on this flight there are 17 empty seats in J?

Not everyone asks for seat allocation, hence the difference. It may also be some are allocated for codeshare and not in system.

J1 means "one J seat for sale"

17 unassigned seats on a seatmap means "if you want to pre-select your seat you can choose from amongst these 17".

In other words, lots of people confirmed in J haven't selected their seats yet.

AFAIK even if you don't select a seat the reservation system will select one for you as long as you're not booking a tango fare. Obviously anyone booking in J/C or upgrading would not be booking a tango fare so I don't believe this could be it.

luv2flyJ Aug 25, 2006 8:14 am

I find it hard to believe that there are that many people in J who wouldn't have confirmed a seat? I was wondering if perhaps there were a lot of crew deadheading.
