The question really should be is this something that can be corrected withing KVS or is it something related to the information sources themselves, and if the latter then maybe nothing can be done in any s/w product.

At the moment, I do not have a source for fares in AUD.

As of the latest version, the following POSs/currencies are supported:
  • USD
  • EUR
  • CAD
  • GBP

I know it'll probably be a wish list item, but how about getting UA award/upgrade classes from united.com?

The method would be to log into united.com and search for awards, if one seat in either three award classes (or 2 or 1 as applicable) is available, it shows all the award and upgrade buckets. Note this requires expert mode be turned on in your united.com profile. There is more info here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=113792

Any chance of seeing this in KVS soon? :)

I'm looking at UA fares from SEA-NRT for travel 10/19 and 10/24 or 10/25 using the Sabre Fares/DotRes. I get the following results:

Everything I price out comes up with the H fare; my question is how do I book this T fare in bold above?

T class has to be available (which it looks like it is) and the fare rules have to be met. I can't check the specific fare rules, but as 10/19 is 3 days from now, I strongly suspect that you don't meet advance puchase requirements. United.com and other sites will generally offer the lowest price fare basis that is legal at time of purchase. Something in the rules is preventing it from being offered, if not advanced purchase then minimum stay, season (date), day-of-week or even routing (only valid through specific gateways).

DAK

That appears to be a unpublished contract/bulk fare. Try speaking to a Res suprevisor at UA to see if they locate/book it. If not, PM me and I will get you the contact info for the agency that is providing that fare...

Are these fares supposed to be seen from KVS? If so, that makes things much more interesting...

Well, I am not filtering-out any fares...

BTW, I just checked, and the UA "/WWF" suffix indicates a so-called "web" fare.

There actually is a very real chance of that hapenning ;)

Perhaps other UA-ers could also comment, as to the usefullness of such an addition to the KVS Tool, taking into considiration the "flight must have at least 1 [saver] economy seat available, or it won't show-up" restriction.

Here is a sample output:

I'm glad I asked. :) I for one would find this EXTREMELY useful. I would be very surprised if other UA FTers did not either. Good work KVS! ^

The one saver seat restriction is unfortunate, but unavoidable too as I understand it.

I can't wait for 2.5.0! ^

This is huge! I'd likely be forced to find a Windows box to use on a regular basis and would probably dump my ExpertFlyer subscription as well.

^ ^ ^ ^ ^

This would be a huge boost. Is it that one saver economy seat must be available, though, or just any saver seat? Often IME, a flight will come up with Business upgrade availability, even though there may be no economy saver awards available, but there is a saver business or saver first award available.

Can't wait for the new version; did I miss the timeframe?

Very cool! If you're pulling the data from the UA website, I would suggest having a CoS to search drop-down here, in case, as others have pointed out, there is no saver economy but there is saver C or F available.

I believe it should be possible if only one saver award seat (F, C or Y as applicable) needs to be available, but I might be wrong. (KVS?)
