Fares for the following carriers continue to be missing from the TCY-based methods:
For example, compare: [KVS Availability Tool 2.2.0/Platinum - Sabre: Fares/TCY/US-USD] Code:
YTO Toronto Metro ON CA = YTZ YYZ[KVS Availability Tool 2.2.0/Platinum - Sabre: Fares/DotRes/US-USD] Code:

Seat Maps function
Stupid question.. if I remember correctly, when I had the lite-version, and I right clicked on a flight result, I would get a pop-up with the ability to get the seat map for the flight (I could be mistaken as this was a while ago). Now I'm having trouble getting the seat map.
I'm using 2.10/Gold. Search using Apollo: ITN/CWT YYZ-HKG Returns multiple results Right click on a specific result | Seat map/Book Segment The next menu gives me: Apollo... Sabre... Galileo.. Worldspan... Worldspan... Worldspan... I know the first two Worldspan options are only available to Plat. members. However, the other options bring me to booking flights. How do I get the seat maps? I've done a search on this thread for "seat map" and went through all the results but none seemed to pertain to my situation. Maybe my GUI is screwed up (more likely me tho) What am I missing here  |
Disregard my post. I was able to get it to work via Gallileo by going to book the fare then cancelling, then bringing up the seat map. Guess that'll do, but I could have sworn there was a GUI click way to bring up the maps before :p

I did do this, read through multiple times, but it didn't work last night. I couldn't see the "select seat" selection. I did this this morning, and it did work and I see the "select seat" selection. Must have been too tired to see properly, sorry for the bad post. |
KVS Availability Tool: FAQ, Part 1 has been updated with information on the Sabre: Fares/TCY & Sabre: Fares/DotRes methods: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showt...74#post2804874

Thank you KVS for a fine tool and a quick reply.
I just don't know if it can help me personally, I might have overlooked the answer on the FAQ........ I am looking for award travel. Either United Airlines or Star Alliance award seats. I understand the tool and it seems to be the best one outside of web-based tools, but from my understanding it would not show award seats for united or for star alliance members(looking at air new zealand right now). Did I miss something? Or does the program just not do that rigtht now? If it did I would not mind paying a price! |

Sabre: Fares/DotRes: MAN Issue
The Sabre: Fares/DotRes method cannot retrieve fares from/to MAN (Manchester) due to a bug in the DotRes engine.
Please use the Sabre/ZUJ method to retrieve such fares. |
