Interesting Sabre issue
Using Sabre GTC if you select AA LAX-TPE on Jan 25th (other dates have the same issue). Look at AA 169 LAX-NRT at 11:50 am depart 16:40+1 arrival- Change to AA 5854 NRT-TPE (A JL codeshare)- Time dispalyed for depart is 00:45 with a 21:45 arrival. The real departure time is 18:45. It also displays the code share flight JL649 (if you start at LAX) with the same incorrect departure time. It will display the correct time if you just do NRT-TPE using the JL649 number. Appolo and WSPAN will display the correct times but no flight info as AA is not supported. [KVS Availability Tool 5.1.7/Diamond - Sabre: Availability/GTC/US-LTR] Code:
LAX Los Angeles Int'l CA US [KLAX] |
[QUOTE=KVS;12975240]Please upgrade to the latest version -- this bug has been resolved as of V5.1.6: [QUOTE]

I started to get this error from the Sabre: Fares/TVN method yesterday sometime:
("Become a member!") http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/membe...vnfareserr.jpg Is this a known issue? |

KVS has been a great tool for me. At last I have access to fare designators again :D
But I have noticed something unusual this morning. I am trying to apply a 25,000 mile upgrade from my United balance so that I can upgrade Air China 984 from LAX to PEK at 00:40 on 25 December from economy (B) to business. Whenever I search for upgrade info using either SNT: Awards/StarAlliance or ITA: Awards-Upgrades/X1* the KVS tool only shows the United codeshare, and not the main Air China flight. Is there someway I can designate that I want to look at the actual carrier's availability, Air China 984? |

If you use Sabre availability search on KVS and look of booking class I that will show you Business class avialability for upgrades/rewards. You can also try using the Aeroplan site. There have been reports that you can search Air China on the Continental website. |
Thanks, I see that 'I' availability is zero. I will watch it as the three day advance booking period closes this evening :)
Thanks also for the tip about Continental - I may use some of my Onepass miles instead, if CO are better organized than UA :) Happy Holidays :) |
Anyway to get data on "X" class or "R" for domestic for AC flights?

I'm sorry for my stupidity.
I need to use Asiamiles on OW carriers (namely BA / AA). BA/AA buckets for their airlines is what Asiamiles would take award tickets out of, right? As a result, a platinum membership would get me this information? Many thanks |
