Other differences between the two services notwithstanding, EF always had DL upgrades, and still does.

KVS Tool's numerous other advantages still remain, including support for DL Award Availability, which continues to be available exclusively via the KVS Tool.

It is possible that DL will bring its Upgrade Booking Classes back to Availability displays...

Confused about how to search for J Class on US Airways
 

I want to use KVS to look for the availability of Business Class US/Europe upgrades on US Airways.

I understand such upgrades should appear as J-class seat availability, but I don't see J listed at all (even to say zero availability) when I use the Awards/Upgrades search. Am I doing this the wrong way? Should I be using the Availability search (instead of Awards/Upgrades) to look for J seat availability?

I have the same question! :) Anything on that would work for a faithful repeat customer? ;)

Are they still displaying DL upgrades or did they lose it also?

EF gets it directly from one of the GDS's and yes they still have it. Always did.

For Upgrade (J) Availability on US, you need to use the [Galileo] Method under the [Availability] Tab, which will only show results that have non-zero availability in the requested Booking Class(es). Therefore, unfortunately, it is difficult to determine whether there are no Upgrade Seats or whether US is withholding the upgrade info on a particular route.

Problem with Sabre/GVC?

I just updated to 6.5.0, but not showing the above working, which is sorely missed...

As mentioned on the KVS Tool Homepage, the [Sabre: GTC] Method is temporarily unavailable -- please use any of the other 2 regular Availability Methods in the meantime...

[Sabre: GTC] Method issues have now been resolved -- users should upgrade to V6.5.0 (or restart the KVS Tool, if already running V6.5.0).

Understanding Skyteam award travel
 

Before posting this I read all the FAQ's and the user guide. If I just want to see business seat results, do I need to ender the class(es) under filter? If so, do I enter all of the classes for all of the airlines in skyteam? If not, how do I find biz class results only? Thanks.

I used the Amadeus Awards/BA method to search for JL Economy awards from HND-ITM, but it only showed the first 12 flights that day. The Amadeus timetable happily gets all 16. Any ideas?

Sounds like KVS needs a new/different GDS.
