Are we really sure the CPU process is working? I now have four flights inside my windows with R>0 and no indication from the seat maps that anyone is getting upgraded. I know--this is the new normal for these systems, but after 18 hours you'd think that something would have budged on at least one of them.

Please...Please....Please FIX THE IVR! How on earth can a global airline use US ZIP CODE as the only identifyer when the rest of the world does not have one! The system refuses to acknowledge my POSTAL code and after 5 attempts drops me in the general queue where the wait time is >30 minutes (according to the recording). I have to assume this is the general queue as >30 minutes is totally unacceptable for 1Ks.
You build a website that does not allow me to book flights required (i.e. star alliance + ua) and then I can't even ring in and speak to an agent. I realize these are early days - but building an IVR that validates ONLY ON ZIP CODE -- please! Worst business decision for a global airline ever.
I am very patent but this is becoming maddening. All of a sudden our top notch service has degraded overnight. Hoping for a quick recovery back to the top.

My interesting issue. . .
Sunday flew SYD/LAX/DEN/ATL
SYD check-in was slow and painful with the mostly rental ground staff. But all BP's printed, and flight went off only 20 minutes late. Packed.
When boarding at LAX for DEN, gate agent scanned my BP, computer beeped. She tore the old one, printed a new boarding pass, scanned it, and I boarded the plane.
Someone else in my F seat (int config 777 to DEN for some reason). I looked at my boarding pass, and the GA had reprinted DEN/ATL, not LAX/DEN! And scanned DEN/ATL to let me on! I now had two DEN/ATL BP's, and no LAX/DEN!
Purser looked at the manifest and showed me a different F seat. No dramas.
Also noted the two DEN/ATL BP's showed different mileage between these ports. The SYD-printed BP showed 1195 miles. The LAX reprint showed 1208.
Odd.

That's good to hear! I hope things work out fo rmy waitlisted upgrade! If the "fix" that shannon is talking about doesn't appear later in the week, I will get back on the phone to the IK line, and ask them to force the R bucket for my* ticket.
I have several itineraries for later in the year that are similarly affected, but will wait to get those sorted out.

Who wants to be I get passed over on the upgrade?

IAD-MBJ discontinued? Or system glitch?
I was searching for Jan 2013...and up until a few days ago before the merger there was a nonstop from IAD to MBJ on Saturdays. Now it appears after August 2012 that this flight no longer exists? UAInsider can you please tell me if IAD to MBJ direct flight has gone away? Or if this is related to the merger?

I guess you didn't have any problems with your DEN/ATL fllght? If the GA didn't recognize and reconcile the issue in LAX they might have cancelled your subsequent legs.

I'm wondering if when the website integration is complete if the Mileage Credit option will be as simple as it was on the old United website. Before, you could simply put the flight number of the Star Alliance partner and your seat number and get the credit within a couple of weeks. Do you now need to mail in a copy of the ticket? Thanks!
The new UA.com is highly functional in many areas, but this definitely is not one of them.

Hi UA Insider, Prior to PSS I had 2 SWUS in my UA account and 2 in my CO account. My balances have been updated, but I now only have 3 GPUs! It seems one has got lost in transition. Should I wait to see if it is revisited automatically or call? (I have screenshots of both accounts pre-PSS if that sort of documentation is required.) Thank you!

Man this sux.
Still have not fixed issues from yesterday. Now things that worked yesterday are broken. Every click i make in MileagePlus requires me to log on again at each friggin page. Thankfully, I'm on Lufthansa metal today and not UA.

I just tried to check in for my tomorrow-morning flight and it just returns an "error" page. Strangely, the itinerary shows no date in the "Current reservations" list, though the receipt is correct.
So I called the 1K line and have been waiting on hold for half an hour. So far, not a great experience with the new consolidated United!
I'm assuming they'll work it out. But I get nervous when it looks like my reservation is screwed up!
Update: Almost an hour on hold now. Yeah, the 1K line is just amazing! Not sure if I should hang up and try again...

Turns out I got an upgrade (yay!) to LAX that caused my connection to be dropped (boo) somehow. The agent was able to manually correct it and I could check in.
But she noted that the agents at the airport wouldn't have been able to fix this, so it's a good thing I called!^
Overall, I don't envy the poor IT guys who have to make this all work!

c1mth0g and boat9781, as you and others have noted, there is an issue where were seeing duplicate Global Premier Upgrades (GPUs) and Regional Premier Upgrades (RPUs) being deducted from account. Were addressing this with high priority and are working on a solution to automatically correct this so that you wont need to call. I'll add this to the master thread and we'll keep it updated with our progress.

The newest CSR sees the problem, but cannot correct it because she says SHARES will not let her change the seat assignment on one leg of a two segment "direct flight." I had no problem pre-merger having the seats separately assigned on this itinerary. Why is it a problem now? (One segment is a 767-300 and the other a 757. I would think that seat assignments would necessarily be done separately.)
O/R is non-elite, ON/RN is elite (Plat and higher) -- BTW , I have not seen a difference between R/RN yet.

I also have the boarding Group 5 issue on my BP even though I am 1K, luckily I'm just on the Q2 where it doesn't matter a much with only 20 or so people on board.

I am still unable to view the upgrade list for Tuesday's flight through either the mobile site or iPhone United application. The waitlist still shows greyed out.
