Apologies if this has already been raised and answered, but couldn't find anything on searching this thread.
I'm sure this isn't UA's biggest concern at the moment; I'm trying to book a *A award redemption using US Airways miles, and the US Airways agents can apparently see availability for the flights I'd like to book (UA910 and UA895 in First on 3rd August) but can't confirm the reservation. The US agents tell me it is an issue with the UA system - any ideas on this and when it might be back up and running?
I can keep calling US to check, but thought there might be a quicker way to find out when things change.
Cheers,
Michael

(You're right that, in a court of law, I would have no basis for a lawsuit. But if you're suggesting that I shouldn't, as a 1K, expect my upgrades to clear 48 hours before a Premier Silver, then I'd appreciate it if they stopped marketing that as one of the top benefits of 1K, to set my expectations appropriately.)

I saw on the answer thread that UA-Insider said there will be a sweep to restore old seating assignments... Anyone know if this has happened yet? I don't want to PM UA-Insider if it is something that will just be fixed on it's own (and yes I am asking for something that was unofficial, e+ sticking after merger for a silver.... but as a silver I will take all I can get
)
)That being said, I don't know if the same people ended up in the same seats, but it seems as if the sweep corrected the nearly empty E+ seat map I saw yesterday afternoon.

I have an award itinerary that I booked well before 3/3, to which changes were made (also well before 3/3), for departure months from now. Post-changeover, I see that the flight I wanted to keep, as well as the flights I changed away from are all listed on the "view reservation" page. However, the receipt only lists the correct current flights, though it shows the cumulative number of seats to be assigned.
I've mostly seen issues with segments vanishing, but has anyone else had mysterious segments appear? Is this something that will be fixed in the ongoing re-syncing process?

Looking at my reservation again today and comparing it to my observations from yesterday, it seems that this process worked on my five international flights, and the seat map appears to have corrected itself.
That being said, I don't know if the same people ended up in the same seats, but it seems as if the sweep corrected the nearly empty E+ seat map I saw yesterday afternoon.

Not to burst your bubble but I would say its not much of a loss based on what people have been saying and I have seen. Had to use a SWU for my flight tomorrow as a Platinum 1k member. Not sure how many upgrades ou will see as a silver.

Thanks for the Ts&Cs. I'm aware, but others have confirmed that their CPUs have cleared for flights on Tues, Wed, and Thurs of this week. Something is off with mine and I'd like for someone to be able to ... do something/anything, given that we're now at ~50 hours. That's all.

They said that they were going to assign equivalent seats, however in my case, 4 people who were sitting together on a 12 hour flight are now spread all over the cabin.

They may hold several seats for instruments (RPU, GPU, or miles) or last-minute sales.
It's always been this way, even on PMUA. Seeing N available F seats did not mean that any or all of them were given over to complimentary upgrades within the 120, 96, ... windows for GS, 1K, etc.
What am I missing?

No, our original seats will not be restored as per the following post from the UA Insider:
