Looking at my reservation again today and comparing it to my
observations from yesterday, it seems that this process worked on my five international flights, and the seat map appears to have corrected itself.
That being said, I don't know if the same people ended up in the same seats, but it seems as if the sweep corrected the nearly empty E+ seat map I saw yesterday afternoon.
