Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!
Qatar Airways confirms new business class seatA video of the new Q Suite can be seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yhZDsctiZg

From TGFlyerGirl:
there are some quite complex rules entries around seat selection - but in essence, solo travellers as a guideline won't be assigned QUADS (they are blocked off), and it's generally for 3/4 pax families. Once a QUAD has been broken up (out of necessity - for example with a couple in the E/F seats), then the rest of the quad is unlocked and can be filled with individual travellers.
They've also made 1A/2B last offered to allow airport flexibility to handle last minute requests. The other 18 windows and aisles are free for reservation as per the normal process.
The bassinet position is 11B/J (77W) and 8B/J (A359), reduced mobility seats are 2/4/6/9 B and J.
All A/E/F/K's are backward facing, all B,D,G,J's are forward facing. Total 20 Forward/22 Backward.
Capacity:
77W: J42/Y312
High density 77W: J24/Y388
77L: J42/Y230
35K: J46/Y281
359: J36/Y247

I beg to differ on that.
Im not sure if you have travelled on the Q SUITES, but underneath the mini-seat you have a large cubby with space for a water bottle, bose headphones, and your shoes, or bag. The white marble table is also huge and the shelf underneath it also provides storage. The mini-seat itself can act as a storage for a bag or something.

Yes. As with every 777 there are a few windows missing. Should be 6A and 6K on the 77W equipped with QSuites and row 4 on 777 with old configurations. The A350 shouldn't have that problem as both the -900 and the -1000 version don't have missing windows. The 787-9 lacks windows between doors 1 and 2. So whatever product the 787-9 will feature, some seats in J will be missing a window.

dfernandez by that time. welcome to Flyertalk and to the QR forum. As you may already discovered the QR dashboard is a useful tool.
At the moment QR have seven B777 aircraft fitted with Qsuites and two A350-1000 aircraft with Qsuites are due to be delivered in the next three months or so.
At the moment the seven aircraft are being used for one daily rotation to LHR, CDG, JFK, IAD and ICN.
The LHR and CDG rotations are thought to be taken over by A350-1000 aircraft as they become available.
So too few aircraft for all the desired destinations!
If I was to guess then my guess would be that ICN is dropped when the summer timetable starts 25 th. March. ICN probably has Qsuites due to the Winter Olympics which are long finished by 25 March.
Other than that my personal rule number two for QR 'No one knows' is in force!
The first rule 'Never book a QR flight for the aircraft type. You risk disappointment'

Hi everyone,
i traveled on Q suites for the first time last Wednesday (DOH to JFK). I have to say (as many others have), its amazing and clearly head and shoulders above Singapore (i travel mainly Singapore Air and Air Canada). The service was incredible and the suite itself was quite spacious (i was in 6B). PJ’s were great too and super comfortable. entertainment was disappointing but that’s because they don’t allow swearing or even showing the finger (hidden by a heart emoji which made me chuckle!).
Food was very impressive along with wide selection of drinks. Their breakfast smoothies are pretty solid.]
I was on a SIN-DOH just before this on an A350 and slept mostly on that one but again, the “soft” product was really good and the staff was very attentive.
Looking forward to getting on the return leg next week!

I'm trying to book Q suites as an award flight to get from CDG/LHR to DOH and then DPS this August.
The Q suites look particularly appealing to me travelling as a couple.
I see the same thing, only A380/A350 on CDG-DOH during my dates in August.
On LHR-DOH I still see the Q suite flights.
Fingers crossed I can find reward flight availability.
UPDATE: I don't see ANY LHR-DOH award availability for the the next year. Anybody else have advice?

Any speculation of another rotation getting Qsuites soon given that two (or three?) more 77Ws are due shortly fresh from the factory? Perhaps when Summer schedule kicks off?
