Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!

From TGFlyerGirl:
there are some quite complex rules entries around seat selection - but in essence, solo travellers as a guideline won't be assigned QUADS (they are blocked off), and it's generally for 3/4 pax families. Once a QUAD has been broken up (out of necessity - for example with a couple in the E/F seats), then the rest of the quad is unlocked and can be filled with individual travellers.
They've also made 1A/2B last offered to allow airport flexibility to handle last minute requests. The other 18 windows and aisles are free for reservation as per the normal process.
The bassinet position is 11B/J (77W) and 8B/J (A359), reduced mobility seats are 2/4/6/9 B and J.
All A/E/F/K's are backward facing, all B,D,G,J's are forward facing. Total 20 Forward/22 Backward.
Capacity:
77W: J42/Y312
High density 77W: J24/Y388
77L: J42/Y230
35K: J46/Y281
359: J36/Y247

It must be inconsistent, because I just made another booking for two persons and could access any center seats on internet.
Might be route dependent. The three flights I talk about are DOH-CDG (or return) route.

alhitmi the flight number varies. At the moment it is QR002 but changes later to QR008, and some days does not fly (such as16-19 January).
Since you give no dates you will need to check it yourself on Check Availability | QR-Cargo
QR have at least seven different aircraft types so it is not possible to give a precise answer without dates.
Do remember rule no 1 on this forum:"Never book a flight for the aircraft type. You have a good chance of being disappointed!"

Just took QR1 to London. Of my whole trip it was probably the most disappointing. The seat was great and I loved the style of it. But wow was the service terrible. 2 hours before landing I was asked did I want any food or alcohol as they start closing down the bar. I "reserved" my food and drink. Luckily I found someone at the end who I asked could I have my whiskey with a plastic cup. I wish he was the person who served me as he was great. Tbh I don't think I'll ever go out of my way for a Q-Suite again. I'll take the A380 which is so much quieter and the lounge/bar is so friendly.
