Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!
Qatar Airways confirms new business class seatA video of the new Q Suite can be seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yhZDsctiZg

From TGFlyerGirl:
there are some quite complex rules entries around seat selection - but in essence, solo travellers as a guideline won't be assigned QUADS (they are blocked off), and it's generally for 3/4 pax families. Once a QUAD has been broken up (out of necessity - for example with a couple in the E/F seats), then the rest of the quad is unlocked and can be filled with individual travellers.
They've also made 1A/2B last offered to allow airport flexibility to handle last minute requests. The other 18 windows and aisles are free for reservation as per the normal process.
The bassinet position is 11B/J (77W) and 8B/J (A359), reduced mobility seats are 2/4/6/9 B and J.
All A/E/F/K's are backward facing, all B,D,G,J's are forward facing. Total 20 Forward/22 Backward.
Capacity:
77W: J42/Y312
High density 77W: J24/Y388
77L: J42/Y230
35K: J46/Y281
359: J36/Y247

An alternate link of the Zodiac Fusio showing a few more angles of the seat:

+1 hoping they don't go with the backwards facing seats - one aspect of BA ClubWorld that always put me off!

Nothing wrong with a backwards facing seat for me, it's one of the endearing features of Club World and I find it quite enjoyable!
These seat designs are fantastic though, will wait and see what QR come up with.

The foot-coffins are the sole reason I have stopped flying QR J as often as I used to. Now, it is QR F or nothing.
There are many J seat designs which prevent the need for a foot-hole, and hopefully the new QR J Seat will accomodate those needs.
The design will be revolutionary, opposed to evolutionary - QR know that they need to do something different so as to gain market share and thus drive profits.

justatourist since we have not yet seen the new seat no one can say.
ABB claims it will be fleet wide but as has already been pointed out on this thread it is extremely unlikely that the new seat would fit onto any narrow bodied aircraft. It is also thought that some of the older aircraft will not be retrofitted.
So apart from the standard 'NO ONE KNOWS' the answer appears to be no.

Take this with a pinch of salt because I can't actually remember where I found this banner, but I think it was either from a link on this thread somewhere, the QR website or their Facebook page.

If you don't like the 380, 350 or 787 QR J seat that still leaves plenty of 777s.
Personally, at 6'4" (1.93m) with size 11/45 feet I am perfectly fine with the so-called 'foot-coffins'.
