Mine was approved today (I have a fraud alert on all my accounts so I had to call after receiving a letter). Customer service confirmed that I will get 50,000 on first spend. I am not an elite- but did have miles in my account. I got the CO explorer in March of 2011 and got bonus miles. Before that I had another UA card and got bonus cancelled that in August 2011. If this last bunch comes through I will be very happy.

From the terms: "This one-time bonus offer is only valid for first-time United MileagePlus Explorer cardmembers with new accounts. Previous and existing United Airlines cardmembers/accounts are not eligible for this bonus offer."

The first sentence indeed should only disqualify *Explorer* card holders, but the second one seems to apply to holders of *any* UA card. "accounts" seems to mean that you can't convert an existing account (and indeed the conversion offers I've seen in postcards and online offer "10,000 miles", but none of those are instant bonus miles, just the 10K extra after you spend 25K in a year). But "existing..cardholders" would seem to mean that even a new account wouldn't qualify.

Don't get me wrong -- I'm very glad it is working out, and I would have been annoyed enough to cancel my old card and go to a different rewards card if we loyal cardholders got shafted.

Is there a public link to the CO Business 50K offer?

Wife got it, not instant approval but recording says approved. She has 3 other Chase cards open presently. I have two other Chase cards open. I should pull the trigger but...., for some reason, I am holding back because...someway, somehow I feel like there is going to be a better offer than just 50k after 1st use (which is fantastic)....Stay greedy or just pull the trigger?

Not that I'm aware of. There were targeted offers in the past but with the pending discontinuance of the product the best I see is 30k.

I was going to try to call the application line to see if they would do a phone app at 50k. If not my fallback is to ask them to match after the fact or just live with the 30k. Either way I cannot see obstacles yet to a UA biz at a later date.

I could not find anything recent either, thanks.

Let us know what happens. I'm debating doing a business Continental and personal Explorer at the same time. There is no language in the business application restricting a future bonus from the United business card. I'd like to get both.

BTW, my wife was targeted for the personal Continental Mastercard a couple weeks ago for 50K after first use so Chase is still sending out targeted Continental offers.

When I click on the link, it goes to the page offering 40K. Changing the 40 to a 60 in the link again, it still goes to the 40K offer. My husband received the 50K offer on his my promotions page on Mileage Plus. Used the link and stupid me did not make a screen print of the offer. Now he's gotten an email saying he'll get 25K after first use, instead of 40K. He ordered a card for me, so that's an additional 5K. Then 10K after the first year if spend is above $xxx. Not quite sure how to address this with Chase.

Does anyone have a screen print of the 50K offer?

Do you mean 60K offer (50K after first spend)? If so I have a .pdf from when I did mine. I was also able to verify it with the Citi Rep at the reconsideration line.

Here's a question.

My wife and I do a lot of business with Chase (mortgage, a few credit cards, etc.) My wife applied for the Explorer card. She got the "pending" notice, and I was going to call the reconsideration line, assuming a simple shift of CL would do the trick. But she got a letter saying they need to verify her identity -- with a copy of a bill and copy of Social Security card. Anyone have this come up? Could she just verify with reference to our other Chase accounts? Kind of annoying because she can't find her Social Security card!

Is there a particular number she should call? Or just the general Chase reconsideration #?

We applied for Mrs. jacknyoc. about a week later got a phone message to call re: application. she spoke with rep, a couple of questions for verification purposes (since we have other Chase cards, I suspected call was to request credit line transfers, but no), she was told she was approved and would get the card within a week. We got verification email as well a couple of days later. Chase has been doing a lot of offers over the past year or so, it seems. The earlier UA bonus round, last year's CO 50K round, now this new round. Citi/AA had one offer over the past year or so, it seems to me. maybe i overlooked others. anyway, happy to keep piling up the UA miles...and spending them on awards : )

A datapoint for those applying:

I have never held a United or Continental card from Chase.

I applied the the United card (60k offer) and 1 day later for the CO Onepass Card (40k offer). I was instantly approved on the United and deferred on the OnePass. Called the application line and was told I was approved for both cards.

Experts, correct me if I'm wrong, but "approved" doesn't mean "approved with bonus", right? I thought that, if you get either the CO or UA cards (OnePass/Explorer, respectively) after 7/19/2011, you can't get the bonus on the other. Of course, you could hold both cards, but I didn't think you'd get both bonuses.

A couple of people have reported being told that they would get both bonuses. I'm not sure if anyone has actually reported seeing the miles from both in their accounts.

Recently with other offers people were approved for the card and in the first month got a letter saying they would not receive the bonus miles because they had previously received them. It was with the British Airways 100K mile offer. Some people had received it a year earlier and tried to get it again. I haven't heard of anyone having this happen with the United/CO cards.
