That is actually the ancillary services code for a "Group Check-in Desk". I imagine you are on a group booking?

Trying to do check-in using the AY app for my flight to DOH, but it insists on having a visa. But there's no longer a need for one on short (<30 days) trips to Qatar, right? As one can get visa on arrival if you are from certain countries.

As an additional data point too, on a shortish trip a while ago, on arrival they didnt request the höpöhöpö-insurance |
AY IT is so incompetent in all respects. I believe some university students could do a better job.
Another simple example is Finnair's from name in their eticket emails. Why the heck do they have quotes in their name and even worse, a space after Finnair? It screams amateurish and lack of attention to detail. Shameful! https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...a26f24c693.png |
Perhaps the brand manager has decided a space is what adds an edge...
It seems it is their masking of amadeus.com that has been enhanced. Mail from that domain has the quotes and an extra space. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...76823cbbc1.png Mail from their own domain does not. I'd guess someone has sent the display names to a third party, and that third party has done the update literally. |

Checked in for a flight. No chance to change my J seat when checking on the iOS app, even though only 1/3 of seats taken. FWIW; award flight, still Lumo showing on BP.
Web check-in functioned normally, although a lot more silly stuff to fill out. |
The timetable search (not the booking engine) is suggesting an interesting option with a connecting flight the previous day

I have an itinerary with both AY and RO flights (same PNR but separate tickets)
Initially all was good - exit seat booked, etc Then I headed over to the RO site to enter my FB credentials. After that, AY totally forgot about me. The booking didn't show up neither under "my bookings" nor on the app, my exit seat reservation disappeared (and wanted 50€ to reinstate it), etc. It didn't even recognise my ticket type (Flex) so the luggage allowance was way incorrect. I had to call up the booking by PNR re-add the AY FFP number and then the seat reservation showed again as well as the correct luggage allowance. This never happened before in "mixed" PNRs, wonder what went wrong. RO couldn't really hijack the booking this much, could it? |
Not sure what RO is, but could this be a case with multiple PNRs, ie when the itinerary has one booking reference in one system and a second one in the other system? And when you handled the booking the second reference was removed?

There's only one PNR, both tix are under the same (TA booking). At the end of the day no biggie, just a bit annoying. |
