They add an extra unconfirmed and waitlisted segment to your PNR for the same route in the PE/Business class, while your confirmed economy segment (incl your seat reservation for economy) stays in place.

This is not very clear in MMB but via CheckMyTrip.com or the CheckMyTrip app (which is owned by Amadeus, the exact software Finnair uses) you can see exactly what your booking looks like and which segments are confirmed and which waitlisted :)

When upgrading KEF-HEL-ZRH, the website was asking for 17.5k points. However, it should be 10k points and WA service confirmed the upgrade with 10k points. I told the agent to forward the bug on the website to their IT department.

Are you certain? I understand that connecting shorthaul flights can only be upgraded in the same price if they connect to/from longhaul flights.

AY IT at its best. I checked in Dad +1 for a flight to HEL. Used +1's last name to log into the OLCI system. The system ended up issuing a BP for Dad but not for +1 "because of missing covid docs". LOL.

I logged out and logged in again using Dad's last name and went to reissue BPs. Worked fine, no problems, both BPs issued and no covid docs mentioned anymore.

Good thing is that AY has now gotten booking pets possible online whilst you are booking the flight. Makes it easier to plan and book the right flights.

Sad thing is that the price has increased now for pet in cabin from 50 to 60 euros. The website claims that the price was 40€ for bookings made before March 2020, but that is incorrect, it was 50€ long before. Looking into my archives last time it was at 40€ was in 2018 and I think it was 50€ since 2019.

I'm sorely tempted to choose the "muu" service but somewhat afraid about what it might cost.

I also tried to check in using the app. There a datepicker widget expected me to scroll month by month from this month to my birth month to enter date of birth. A great way of making me feel old! And to give me carpal tunnel syndrome, which will compound to my feeling old!

More seriously though, while a birthdate is technically a date, you generally want to enable writing and not just an input widget to any such field. Exceptions can be made to children under 3 years of age.

Has anyone noticed phantom award space?

I saw 2 J award tickets SEA-HEL on 7/14. I get all the way to the payment page, and the site crashes. I reload the page and only one seat is available. Platsapp says only one seat is available.
Then, I see two tickets on 7/21. Platsapp says there are no seats, and says the website is wrong. But I try on the website and I am able to book those two seats.

The next morning, I again see 2 seats available on 7/14.

Anyone else having problems finding your reservations on ay.com and App?

IOS app updated just a day or two ago, still shows my reservations.

I tried logging out/in and reservations disappeared. Can't pull them up on MMB atm.
Other oneworld sites seems to find them.

I'm seeing my upcoming flights on both the website and app (Android).
