Tried to OLCI last night for my flight tomorrow. Failed – ticket needs to be updated. What?! Sent WA last night and when I woke up this morning, they had done their magic so OLCI worked normally. (I tried both via App and via website.)
What do they want to update? As far as I can tell, there had been no schedule changes and it was quite a normal Schengen flight. |
Why did Flightstats, Google and Swedavia know my gate number 1.5 hours before the Finnair App did? :rolleyes:

Something is weird with paying for flights on AY's website for me. When trying to move from booking to paying, sometimes I get the dog error "sorry, something went wrong" (or something like that) and have to start the booking again. 😓 Now that I finally managed to get to the AY pay screen (pay.finnair.com) and try to click on "Pay Now" button, it just loads for a while and I'm back on the pay page with no error message. Is this just happening for me?
Update: trying to pay using a saved credit card results in error 500 HTTP code response from https://api.finnair.com/c/payments/c...d/CREDIT_TOKEN. Trying to enter another card also gets 500 error from https://api.finnair.com/c/payments/c...d/PAYMENT_CARD. This can only be viewed in browser's developer tools and not visible to regular jane and joe. FinnairPlus are the systems working alight today? Update 2: after a refresh of the payment page just now, I managed to perform the payment. Probably just happening for me then. 😵💫 |
Another bug with the app is that after completed check-in the app informs that one has not checked-in.

Finnair App lost half my bookings when I logged out and in again. Adding bookings manually does not help either. Is this normal?

What is this new "feature"?
I assume the Award search now shows flights that has no award seats. I just can't figure out the reason. If you have chosen Business then it shows on the return leg the flights on which there's only space in Economy (X), but they are not choosable (as I believe you can't mix cabins on a return award.
One phantom result was because of that. Another one was based on my specific search, not a biggie but can't post the reason here.

Finnair app upgrade
Sorry if this was mentioned somewhere before or if this belongs somewhere else.
Has anyone upgraded to the new app version AND had problems with it? I am flying tomorrow and do not want to be screwed by app enhancement. Thanks! |
I'm can't answer this, I haven't gotten an update to the app on my phone. In fact, according to the Google Play Store, the app was lasted updated on 7.4.2022 with no update available to me.
Knowing AY's IT I'd just steer clear of it, there's little to no value to it all. The minute or two to pick up a printed boarding pass is a small price to pay. |
