And yes if config changes you might get bumped a row back or vice versa, I'm used to this. But this time around the moves have also been across the aisle and window/aisle which I never saw before. Also the fact that both the 350 flights to and from LHR has been doing the same is something I find very strange. |
Had to pinch myself, since I'm about to write something positive in this thread.
Just booked some AY flights with Asia Miles, and the idea of trying to get seats assigned already almost gave me depression. I was expecting to go to whatsapp and try to talk my way into AY agent assigning me and my companion seats. I was expecting that would be refused coz it's a CX stock ticket and why do something perfectly doable for a customer if you don't have to. Then something even more horrific - trying to get a hold of Asia Miles agents - would have waited and based on recent reports of getting through there, I was expecting to be crying myself to sleep tonight. But I booked, pulled up the booking on ay.com right after, and what do you know, seat selection worked better than it worked on AY's own awards a few weeks ago :D now here's a happy camper with extra legroom. Kudos to AY for making something work on the IT front that should have worked a long time ago :) Better late than never! |
A bit OT but related to chatbots. Confirmed they are crap - I thought they are okay for noncomplex routine tasks. I just went to cancel a magazine prenumeration and no calls accepted, just chat. The bot asks me to identify so I did, then redirected to a human agent with queue!!!! Oh well that was the last thing to expect.

I've just selected special meals for a trip next week. They're showing on the details page but the front page still shows "No meals confirmed yet". Is that a known issue or will my meal choice stick?

Anyone else have issues withAPP not showing ANY recent transactions? My app transaction list has frozen on April 10th and yet all transactions show correctly on my web profile 😏🤷♂️well mostly correct with doubles still missing here and there 😁😁😁

AY IT is a chaotic mess and not exactly the result of what a team of actually experienced developers would do. But hey, companies want unicorns - or worse, `rockstars' - nowadays, especially in Finland where job ads themselves are in broken English, and the resulting quality is understandably questionable. |

Couldn't Add SPML on Finnair's website despite the option being there! Spoke to someone on live chat, didn't take that long actually! the added the SPML and I thought while I was on with them I'd add the full flight Wifi.
They send me the payment link for the EMD, but when I log into my booking the value shows €1650! Seat selections are showing €300 per leg! I guess it might resolve once the EMD flushes through and payment updated but anyone got any experience on this! On MH the seat reservations are still there, but not on RJ. |
So correct me if I'm wrong, but once you request an upgrade and you're waitlisted you can no longer change your seat assignment, even once the waitlist is not confirmed? I'm (was) waitlisted on both segments of a round trip. The first segment just came back as not confirmed, the second still pending. I can't do anything via manage my booking either through the website or app. This is "normal"?
I'd really just like to see what other seats may be available, it seems the only way to do that is to go through the booking process from the start and see it from there. |

Sisu managed to tell me that multi-city booking will be developed in due course. Actually, I was trying to ask if they will book a route without booking fee as it was not possible to book on-line. This was too difficult for Sisu and neither Finnish nor English-speaking agnets were available.
