I had a friend on the same flight but with a separate booking. I upgraded this friend to J with my points via janica. After this my app started showing his boarding pass with his reservation number and not mine at all. Tried logging out and in but didn't help. After 4 nights for return flight I did checkin via app normally. However at the airport again the boarding pass changed to this friend of mine. This time not even J. Strange indeed.

Some progress with codeshare flight seat reservations. I booked AY5 under a BA code but can select and change the seats online on Finnair's manage my booking, wohoo! :cool:

I've been sent a lot of pushes from Finnair that "award booking is available in the App". I can't get it to work though. The "Search" button does nothing, so I can't get past the initial screen.
Are there any known limitations to this search? Does others have similar issues? I'm using Android, app version 1.39 -- Added And now I realise the revenue flight search does not work either. |

This seems to have broken about 2 days ago. Revenue flight search breaks if you first try to do an award flight search. When starting the app fresh, revenue search works unless you tinker around with award.
award search doesn’t work in any scenario. |
OK, so maybe it is not the app per se, sounds like they changed something in the website booking and the app didn't agree with it.
(Because, that "booking in the app function" is just an embedded browser using finnair.com, it is not really app functionality, right?) Still, really clumsy :( |

The first missing point flight was a rt flight from HEL to Germany. I am missing 2x the points for the outbound flight. I upgraded first leg to the J and I think this messed up the system. Points for incoming flight were recorded correctly. The 3x point flight was a TLL-HEL-Greece rt ticket. This time, both TLL-HEL and HEL-TLL points were recorded correctly, but both Greek flights are missing 3x points (inbound and outbound). It is little strange that 2/4 flights were credited correctly :D I need those points to renew my plat and the season ends this month (Thursday). I called cs for the first time two weeks ago and again last Wednesday to remind them of a tight deadline. A cs agent said he saw the matter pending and promised to make a reminder to "another department". Two more days left and I look forward to what happens.. |

On a slight sidenote, does Finnair just not trust their front line phone agents with point distribution privileges? While I don't have experience with missing points claims on other airlines, I feel like I've been given points for inconveniences from other airlines and also hotels directly while I've been on the phone. |

I think the people in cs are from subcontractor and they don't have full permission to company's database. For me one of the agents said in the phone that he need to email my case to another place. He even tried to enter my points manually but he couldn't as the computer said no. :rolleyes:
