This is getting ridiculous sometimes - I just moved xxx e-rewards points to 3000 Accor, which I moved to 3000 IB Avios, which I moved to 3000 BA Avios to finally arrive at 3000 AY Avios. (Of course I could have just moved directly to AY at a rate of 2k Accor->1,3 AY :p) |
That right there is also a sign of the times!
Landside points activities are soon more important for AY+ members than flying! Maybe this new program really is sustainable! |
Now I also had a glitch. Before I flew I changed the FFP from AY to BA. At the end I got the poins to my AY account and not BA account. I opened a chat and the information I got that the BA number was not visible on the ticket. On the boarding pass the BA number was visible so, I expected everything is good. As I booked a flight through BA and changed later the FFP from AY to BA that worked without any issue. I did all changes through the AY website. I know that you can do it through the AY website. Through the chat they deleted not the credited Avios on my AY account. Now, I have to request them on BA side.

My Android app detects layovers differently. I have a ticket with two 15+ hour layovers that is now displayed as several trips. A while back they were a single trip.
This is of course an challenge with all airlines. LH app recently said I was flying HEL-HEL when my status match itinerary had only a 10 hour layover in Paris. Technically it had been purchased as a HEL-CDG-HEL roundtrip but that info is apparently hard to deduce correctly from the ticket. |
Does IT block reserving seats on a new booking when the flight is within a couple of days? Was just looking at the J seat map while dummy booking J Flex for a flight T-48h for now. Can see seats are open but cannot select any. This is just a question of curiosity (and for reference in case others may wonder this in the future)...I was just checking myself which seats may be available should my upgrade (hopefully) clear :)
