Has anyone also ever experienced this issue? I did not get Avios and now got message "This flight does not entitle to Avios" when filling e-ticket after 2 weeks passed in claiming system. I guess its because of combination of upgraded flight and booking made before March 9th 2024. Hopefully that submitted claim form with additional details will solve this...

I had a similar issue for flights I took about a month ago. I filled in the claims form and it took about one week for the points to post, but I received spend-based points, even though the flights were booked in Jan 2024. I contacted PlatsApp and they forwarded the issue "to the department handling Avios". The earnings were corrected within a few days.

I had a strange chat today . Without going into too many detalis I had 50.000+ Avios before the chat and after checking some year-old wronlgy charged points I asked chat to correct them. They did and then SUDDENLY I had only 45.000+ Avios. I was about to book an award business flight with my 50.000 Avios when I saw the wronly charged points (Avios?) and then I could not book the flight with my now under 50.000 Avios. The chat (second chat) could not solve it because the guy said he could not see my earlier 50.000 points - neither can I any more. Is it common with problems like this when the earlier flights had been charged in points, no Avios yet then I assume. And is there a place where I can see my own total saldo history on day to day basis (I need the one from this morning) This case was sent to the team taking care of Avios but I would need them quickly. I tried to say PLEASE cancel all the chat things and give me back what I had but it was impossible. Very annoying.

This is getting worse . Just got a mail from the chat person telling they have investigated and they see nothing wrong. Nothing wrong? I chatted because I thought Finnair had charged an extra 5000 from me last year but it ended that instead of 50.000+ Avios I now have 45.000+ and cannot book my flight (which was totally bookable before the chat). The chat people have robbed me of 5000 Avios - without even telling me. I should of course have checked when they said "Done" but closed and continued with the booking but not possible any more. To be continued.......Edit: I am stupid, of course I have an Avios statement 4 days ago: 50.345. Now it is 45.346.

IIRC, there have been a few occasions where people reported of points mysterioulsy disappearing from the total, and when comparing to transactions one can't really tell where the diff came from. I have such an experience way back when I went back to an older excel list of all transactions and updated with recent transactions. I had stored the totals after each transaction historically and found out the old total and the new transactions didn't add up to the new total.
One theory is that the total is stored separately and sometimes new transactions are added twice (or erroneously some other way) to the total. That error isn't discovered, if each new transaction is just added to the old total. But when they check or re-initiate the balance, points mysteriously disappear. (Another theory is of course that some transactions disappear from the history without changing the sum. In my case, I did look for any lost transactions but could not identify any such. Doesn't mean it didn't happen that way, just that I don't have any proof how it happened) Sadly, 'I demand a recount' is not always a winner :( |
I have an award booking HEL-BKK-HEL. Just flew HEL-BKK yesterday. Now the whole booking is missing from listed bookings on the website. Trying to add it using the booking reference leads to an error message.
I thought they might have made some error at boarding, listing me as no-show, but the booking still shows in the app. I opened the browser in incognito mode, filled in the booking reference and last name, and this way the website finds it alright and shows all the details in the right way (seat, meal etc). Really strange, but I suppose there is no need to worry. Or? |
