And it will not. And to get a reroute in J took some adamance as AY apparently has a policy of rerouting award tickets (this was not an upgrade, but a J award) in Y on flights not operated by AY.

not very promising as I will fly in J award 😁😁 I had assumed a full J award would be safe vs upg

Talk about jinxing it!
Maybe plus reps are reading this thread too, on a mission to make sure the program is not generous in any shape or form! ;)
But it sounds like you ended up in J (as you should) and so enjoy and don't say anything more before they can't make things worse.

Was told by QF F lounge dragon st SIN that my FF no. was for some reason a CX one. I don't have an account in the CX FF program. And I'm 100% sure that I booked this flight via the AY app where I was logged in so some AY magic has happened. Called the plat line and correct FF no. is now in place but was still told to monitor if points will be submitted accordingly.

There were also reports of frauds when FFNs were being replaced last minute to steal points. That is why QR restricted changing FFN in bookings and introduced 2FA authentification for getting into manage booking... So it is good to always check what FFN is on BP before boarding.

When giving my BP to scan just before immigration I noticed there wasn't any FFN printed on the physical BP. It sparked my interest but wasn't worried or anything at that point so not sure I would've acted before flight hadn't I gone to the QF F lounge where the dragon wanted to see proof of OWE status as the FFN was some basic CX one. If there was a CX FFN linked to the booking when I checked in at early-check-in, why didn't it show up at all? Makes me suspicious of the check-in desk staff... Probably better to report this case to AY as well, even if there wouldn't be much they can do.

Tell me about it! I decided not to say another word until I reached DFW. And here I am, finally. HEL-LHR-DFW worked smoothly,.

I'm glad I didn't accept AY's initial reroute via ORD. HEL-ORD operated normally, but ORD-DFW now has a 2-hour delay.

I was debating which would be a better reroute to accept if mine gets cancelled next week, seems LHR flight get cancelled often too so I was betting on ord... what schedule did they move you to? A short or long connection in LHR?

Yet a new feature.

I have a trip upcoming in e few days.
My seat now says 58Ö Business Class.
While travel class is Economy and my upgrade is still waitlisted.

Remember from a few years back I had something similar, when the upgrade had cleared but ticket not properly issued. I texted Platsapp and asked what this is. Platsapp Janica doesn't know and says it seems to be an IT glitch.

58ö would mean a nice sized business cabin 😉

I had AY1343 to LHR and AA153 onwards. And yeah, I had a really bad night before the flight, fearing that AY1343 will get cancelled as well. :( But this routing gave me a nice 3 hour transit at LHR, no terminal change and no stress about US immigration. (ORD would be a bit tight and include US immigration and a change of terminals).

And I can't say if it's a daily occurence, but when AA153 landed at DFW, immigration was deserted. I was through in a minute, after like three basic questions.

i will keep this in mind, 3 hours would work for me in LHR but I wouldnt have lounge access as I will be traveling with two special needs kids and Im the only one with status so no chance to guest 2 in LHR unfortunately, hence why I booked the non stop flight but well go with the punches so to say, in HEL we atleast get lounge access and perhaps in ORD we could pay to access

The glitch was indeed a sign of incoming upgrade. Upgrade cleared at T-37, even if my 58Ö seat became business in the app 24h earlier. 😂

Annoying IT. Changing passenger info in profile doesnt copy to boarding info, need to fill in again.
well small issue but anyhow.
