Contacted again today. Exact same words "usually handled the same day". I don't have high hopes of points posting before tomorrow. It sounds like the points department is either busy or stonewalling my request. I suspect the former. I just wish they'd be upfront about long processing times. |

When changing the dates of my economy flex ticket I can seemingly also change the ticket type, but downgrading to economy classic is priced higher than flex?

Apparently the Finnair website is now a accessing motion sensors, so be sure to block those if not already done in your browser. I'm not sure what they are using it for.
Maybe if I simulate being on a stormy boat I get discount on the flights?? :rolleyes: |
The new "My account" section of the app. For the most part seems a nice update, although not necessarily needed, but transactions are showing double (one line each for Avios and Tier points)

New enhancement or a bug? A fellow with plat status didn't get to change his seat for free on a flight booked with points. Even better, he was assigned to boarding groups 3 and 4 on the way.

I have an upcoming flight with BA booked via AY. Noticed a few days ago that there would have been a better routing with AY so I wrote Platsapp but they said I can't change since the ticket is light fare. Now I see that I have the option to change flight in the app and it even gives me the fare difference of 0.14€ + 150€. However, the certain upgrades are already gone but I see J4 C3 D3 and the flight departs in 4 days so I'm tempted to try rather than sitting in BA economy for 11 hours. Do you think I'm able to change it or will I get an error/issues with ticketing? Is this an AY IT glitch since customer service already told me changes are not permitted? The original flight has not changed, booking class K.
EDIT: Contacted CIC and they confirmed that flights to US have different rules, so it's possible to change light fares, However, MMB gives me the fare difference but once I confirm the price I get an error message. It does it regardless of which flight I choose and there is a constant change is offered connections and prices (going up and down after refresh). |
With 2024 coming to a close, one can only hope for a calculator as a Christmas present so we can finally stop guessing how many Avios we will get for bookings that are combined with codeshare/partner flights...
