Well, I guess I shouldn't expect the app to be updated with flight info when they can't even be bothered with flight info on their own website. This is just insulting, they refer you to the arriving or departing airport webpage to get the info!
Is my flight leaving or arriving on time? Don't ask Finnair! Ugh. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...cc40186300.png |
No flight status, no timetables. Just check local airport website
|
Compare with AA where you will get the departure, departure gate, departure terminal, arrival, arrival gate, baggage claim and arrival terminal.
Additionally there is a link to the inbound flight and alerts for the flight. |

Talking about AA & what info they provide: not sure if it was only a gimmick or not, but personally really loved it with the AA app, that it has even had log entries for when my suitcase was loaded on the plane...

So AY IT takes the next step (towards the bottom?)
Establishing "technology hub" in Malaga, run by Spanish company Wunderdog. https://news.cision.com/finnair/r/fi...spain,c3468560 |

Bumping IT further away from your product offering guys makes things worse. Wow.
I remember the times in my previous company when I was the master of product solution process and understood just a little about IT(or logic), and I had an IT expert who understood a little about the process. We were a hacker of a pair to make things great when we could work together hand on hand. Thats how you should trim your solutions, not distancing the two. |
Yeah, that is the way to go. Distance, physical or intelectual, never makes these things easier.
I must correct myself, it seems the company has a Finnish founder, while the main action is going to be in Spain. He says things like By combining modern digital ways of working and our top-notch talent in Helsinki, Berlin and soon in Málaga, we provide a scalable hybrid delivery model that answers to the increasing demand for digital services development” I see opportunities for marketing to adopt some of this language. Soon the poor meal service in business will be a scalable hybrid delivery model. Sounds much better than saying people should feel lucky they get anything to eat onboard. |
The 8th graders have probably grown up and are now 18, teleworking from Malaga. Now they don't have to sell magazines by phone, they can design the AY website instead.

From YLE: (sorry the copypaste in finnish)
Waiting with horror these personalized IT solutions and ticket pricings. |
