I wonder how they'll accommodate me and my more often than not open-jaw (multi-city) trips since they have apparently decided that these are no longer worth their bother on the website. I'm guessing on logín I'll just be greeted with a blank page, save for the number to call in.

Yeah, my thought exactly. The services needed by those flying the most have been removed from their own sales channels entirely. We look forward to this personalised log in message:

I think they have already started targeting, having booked tkts to DFW for next spring, I keep on getting ads while browsing the net....
And what an ad it is! Oneway to DFW in ECONOMY over 1900 euro. WHO wants this, what's the idea?

Or just use your own laptop in stealth mode. And agree, without being logged in.

"Real men don't use adblockers"? Seriously, do yourself a favour, use one.

IT guys on the forum - what does this sentence even mean? Or should we ask the marketing types for translation?

"we provide a scalable hybrid delivery model that answers to the increasing demand for digital services development"

It is likely meant to mean their workprocess differs based on the characteristics of the project. For example, when developing IT solution for a new function in an unknown area, they use a "agile" work method and when they develop a function in a legacy system with well known requirements they use a structured/planned method.

And it is such a cool way to say it. Compare it to your average carpenter saying "for nails we use hammers, but for screws we have this unique method involving a screwdriver". Not that cool anymore, right?

Sadly, IT business is still so immature, and buzz words are the real asset many times. For the last decade, buyers have choose "agile development" because that must be better, right? No, it is just a tool designed for a specific use. But with IT it is magical. Say the right buzz-word and suddenly the CEO or who-ever is signing off on the contrac shines up - here is a word s/he has heard of and the project suddenly get the green light.

Maybe the time has come when buzz-word "agile" is on the way out, and now developers must say they can do "hybrid", meaning you can do both "agile" an "non-agile" (eg). But in english, all this says is "we try to use hammers for nails and screwdrivers for screws".

Tried hard, but there is no sense you can even pretend into this sentence.

FFlash Dec 10, 2021 5:58 am

Haha, well said 😁

If I ever tried to ask my uncle farmer what that sentence meant, I am sure I would have got hit by s hammer and sentenced to hell.

Updating FFP details after checking in

Hi,
Is there a way to update / remove FFP info once checking in has been completed / boarding pass issued? I think it was possible to do this before in the old website, but not any more in the new one. Would the Finnair staff at the lounge be able to help out with this? Thanks

Yeah, and I thought I would be great in saving CEOs and Heads of Marketing from total embarrassment by trying to pick up the buzz words they just dropped in a new context that actually makes sense. But not this time. I found my master.

I have done this at the gate a few times. Perhaps transfer desk would be a better option currently.

Mister P. Dec 14, 2021 4:19 am

Ok, thanks! Around which gate is the transfer desk situated?
