we drove north of SF to a resort about 90 minutes away as friends were staying there and there’s a nice guest policy. Very fun. I had a decent nap in a chaise lounge by the pool.

My wife said she was going to make me dinner. An hour goes by. Two hours go by. I think she forgot. Then she comes in with a first ever, fabulous potato Au Gratin with broccoli. So delicious.

Grilled rib eye with a few crumbs of shallot that didn't fall overboard
grilled avocado with goat cheese
leftover roasted Brussels sprouts
pretzel bread
I am getting a new fridge so trying to eat from the freezer only to reduce inventory .

enough for at least 2 meals

Does it make slow-melting craft ice spheres?

sadly not for her. Just for me. I love the craft ice cubes and just general designer cubes. They’re so cute.

It makes ZERO ice cubes, spheres or any other geometric shape unless I carry the tray to the sink and fill it with water which I am capable of doing. Ice makers take up too much room and always break. Plus I have had 2 different friends have a water leak from the tubes and it caused a ton of damage...needed new floors and total house dry out etc.

gorgeous avocado.
Grilled avocados make amazing guacamole which would fit very nicely in your taco tuesday menu (I am ignoring the safeway).

agreed and it’s more a lack of time to make fresh guacamole for supper. Mostly I need convenience in my life. I’m extremely honest. I basically started the cooking / prep (and pico de Gallo) at 4:45 and we started to eat at 5:40. It’s easier to buy their guacamole for $5.99 than to risk paying $5 for 2 avocado that might not have the perfect level of ripeness. I’m still learning from what bensyd had suggested.

Weird, I've never had a problem with icemakers in the fridge. No leaks, no breaking. Just ice on demand. Our current fridge makes nice little pyramid-shaped ice instead of the odd half-moons other ones I've had have made.

pyramid! Fun. Lucky. Love it. I’ve not seen triangular shapes.
also our former fridge both had water dispenser and ice cube making, and we definitely never had a leaking issue. We also have cement floors so a leak is less inconvenient.
