BBQed wild venison burgers and potato salad. Ground venison given to us by a kind neighbor. I would eat very little if any beef if I had a constant supply of wild venison.

Yum. Sounds like something we would have had growing up. I especially liked it when my mother would boil the potatoes with the kraut.

We had bacon wrapped pork tenderloin tonight done outside on the grill.

Omakase takeout from Sushi Iki. I drank Joseph Perrier Brut Champagne with it.

The scallops are topped with foie gras and truffles

And there was extra caviar in addition to the caviar on top of the halibut.

And chocolate truffles for dessert.

It's a PA Dutch tradition that is supposed to bring good luck in the new year.

We were planning to have steak from a local place but they got overwhelmed with orders (and I forgot to pre-order) so pivoted to some excellent Italian food from a local place. Great vodka sauce, truffle pasta, arancini, and of course some great Cab and Veuve

I love pork. Just dont cook it or bring it raw at home; I do have Costco prosciutto for my spouse.
i ate the pizza outside of the home :-)

as much as I love cooking pizza, Ive yet to make a pepperoni or salami pizza at home on my own. Boy would that be fun. So since pandemic in March, Ive basically had pepperoni pizza in September and twice this week :-). No idea when Ill get it again.

I didn't know you differentiated between raw and cooked . Prosciutto is cured pork. And pepperoni is almost never sold raw so why would you have to eat that outside ?
if you already make pizza at home why not just put on the topping you want...it is no different than whatever you put on now....throw pepperoni slices on it.

That Detroit style pan pizza (King Arthur/NYT recipe) is so good with pepperoni. For a while, I was making it about once a week on the grill.

Do you have the special pan?
When in Detroit at Buddy's we always order pepperoni with those nice crispy edges and pools of oil! yummy!

I don't know what the special pan is. I use a 10 inch cast iron skillet.
