When I do a multi-city trip and have more than two legs it displays the options by schedule and not by price which makes it cumbersome. I usually have to go to Orbitz or another website to find out how much the various options cost. It would be great if this got fixed.

So, it's either that multi-city moved it to schedule (I entered time for some of the segments, but not for all... don't recall which came up as Q), or else it's a revenue management thing.

2 odd bugs
Because of use of FF miles I had 2 separated reservations.
1. RT MSP-ATL 1st Class on FF miles NW code share booked via NW
2. RT ATL-NAS purchased via AMEX points
I also should note that I had my NW PE number in the reservation.
On the return I was flying the say day from NAS-ATL-MSP. Here is what happened when I went to checkin online for NAS-ATL even though in both my NW and DL accounts and on the outbound I was required to re-submit our passport numbers and information. Both DL and NW . accounts have this information for both of us. I think the problem is that I was using my NW account but this should be fixable.
The next problem was frustrating. I checked in for the NAS-ATL flight and then tried to checkin for the ATL-MSP flight. Each either from the DL flight with ticket number or confirmation or via the NW site linked to DL I would get boarding passes for the flight I already checked into NAS-ATL. I finally cleared the IE cache and it worked. I suspect that you are using the name page link for both checkins.
thanks

DWD,
Noticed an issue with listing the proper gates for flights on the new screens for one of my flights in a few days (see bold):
Delta 1524
Reservation: Confirmed Jacksonville, FL (JAX)
Gate: B33
Scheduled: 2:25pm
9 Jul 2009 Atlanta, GA (ATL)
South Terminal
Gate: A10
Scheduled: 3:42pm
9 Jul 2009
Your Seating
Delta 1059
Reservation: Confirmed Atlanta, GA (ATL)
South Terminal
Gate: S3
Scheduled: 4:30pm
9 Jul 2009 Seattle, WA (SEA)
Gate: A21
Scheduled: 6:51pm
9 Jul 2009
The gates listed in bolded sections are reversed, i.e. Gate A21 should be for the ATL Terminal and S3 for the SEA terminal. I believe this is also true for the JAX/SEA since DL leaves out of the A gates in JAX.

DL Web guys: new Itineraries format sucks
Today I logged into my Skymiles account to check on a few trips. To my surprise and horror, Delta has changed the new Ininerary view and NOT for the better, IMHO.
The new format takes up much more screen space, and I think does a poorer job of concisely presenting the information. There's also an extra box on the right side that's blank.
Delta, please change back the itinerary view back to the old layout. It was vastly better!

What sort of computer monitor and screen size are you viewing it on? It looks ok on mine, although I do see that odd blank space to the right of the upgrade status.

That big blank space is because Delta has removed one of the original columns of information that used to be included in all itinerary..."Flight Segment Status".
To the left of the "Upgrade Status" column was the "Flight Segment Status" which always showed 'confirmed' for me though I'm sure it could say something else in certain situations.
Possibly this field is coming back or possibly not. EDIT: Delta now puts your segment status underneath the flight number in the far left column. Mine shows the flight number and then "reservation: confirmed".
Edit 2: I also notice that gate assignments are displayed for the departure & arrival of your flight. Guessing Delta now pulls this data when you open your reservation.
The "Your seating" link does absolutely nothing but I'm guessing it's there in case you have a lengthy itinerary and your seat assignments scroll off the screen. This link probably takes you right there...maybe?!

I see that the delta mobile website now shows accurate mileage summary/activity numbers - this is a great development, thanks. I was getting tired of using the non mobile site on my phone

Also includes terminal #'s for where a flight actually departs now that DL #'s are being attached to NW flights.
This is useful info - take JFK for example: it is good to know whether to show up at T2, T3, or T4. If I'm departing out of T4, I know I don't have to set foot in the T2/T3 complex.
Would be nice if they could just put the seating into the Cabin & Class box, as the Your Seating Info from beneath is just a re-hash of the entire sched.

the update to itineraries was for handling irops, so the next time there is a schedule change, cancellation, etc on one of your flights, let us know how the experience is cleaning up your own itinerary and selecting the flights you want. there are business rules for what flights are offered, so if there is a flight that you want but it isn't shown, there is a reason. i will have to ask though as i'm not familiar with them. i will be testing it today to make sure everything is functioning nicely with the 1024 updates. i'll try and take some screen shots while i test.
one thing to note is that itineraries are better handled now from a data structure (i know most don't care). we also moved to using ajax to retrieve itineraries. all around its a pretty substantial update to the myitineraries application that i believe had full usability testing done on it. the we had some hiccups previously getting it to production (two attempts) but everything went smoothly yesterday.

I like the look and think that the functionality will be good.
I like even better that this week's itinerary shows every segment in "V" class.

Sorry for the dumb question but I have seen a ton of references to the "1024 project" but can't find a single thread that talks about what the 1024 project is, what changes we can expect from it, etc.
Is the 1024 project a behind-the-scenes update to some DL programming or will the user experience change at all via delta.com or other customer-facing systems?
Thanks,
-RM
