Several times this afternoon, I've used the Delta.com award booking site to put together a trip from MGM-PRG. I select Business as my preferred class, and am able to assemble a trip with coach for the domestic legs and business for the TATL legs. Prices out at 107,500. I am able to successfully hold the itin, but when I go back to the home page to check my current itins, it shows up as coach for all legs. Delta, your booking engine needs some serious work.

DeltacomIT, welcome to FlyerTalk! Great to see you here, hope you'll visit often. Keep in mind, the more you show up here, the more good feedback and free beta testing we'll provide.

BTW, if DeltaWebDev is still on the team, let him know he has lots of friends here.

On DL17 ATL-LAX-SYD, if you are booked the entire way through, you cannot be added to the upgrade list, even for the ATL-LAX segment (I'm Platinum Medallion) to try for the upgrade. I've called multiple times and each time they try and manually force it, they can't. They talk to other people, and they say it's a programming issue. FIX THIS!
DL17 ATL-LAX is a domestic leg, not an international. SPlit up the reservation/PNR so I can select 2 seats based on each flight, not 1 seat for the combined availability of DL17 ATL-LAX plus DL17 LAX-SYD.
THIS IS REALLY ANNOYING.

Fix for Delta.com mobile (for smartphones) coming?
The mobile (usablenet) version of delta.com hasn't worked in weeks/months. I think it stopped allowing you to sign in coincident with the addition of last name as a login credential on delta.com (the mobile version still uses SM number and PIN only).
Any idea when this will be fixed? It prevents logging in to get an electronic boarding pass on your iPhone/Blackberry. Yes, I know you can bring up your boarding pass using the locator number but who has that handy when they're queuing up at security? Requiring the use of the PNR is a really lame workaround, not a reasonable solution to the fundamental problem of the mobile version of the Web site being out of sync with the main one.
@:-) Even better: a Delta iPhone app just like Avis, Hilton, Starwood Preferred Guest and other travel industry companies have. Not an unreasonable thing for the world's largest airline to provide, is it? And while you're at it, port the same app to the Blackberry, Android phones and Palm Pre. Why is this better than a mobile Web-based app? You can store your login credentials inside the app and never have to key them in again on your phone. Much easier to do while you're walking through the terminal on your way to security.

Inability to Request Upgrades?
I have a return ticket LGA-RSW for two people that was made before I qualified for Silver. In the itinerary, it shows "Request Only" with a checkbox that you are supposed to check, then click "Submit" in order to place your upgrade request. No matter what browser or computer I use, clicking the checkbox and submit has absolutely no effect (and needless to say, I am not on the upgrade list). Anyone have this problem? I called Delta and they suggested there were no upgrades available--which, even if true, given that the return flight shows every seat in first class open, doesn't mean that it couldn't change in the future, no?
Any thoughts appreciated.

However, the fact that the PNR is for two people could be the problem- when two are on one PNR, upgrades are based on the lowest status, and if your companion has no status, that could be keeping you off the list. If that's the case, you need to ask them to split the PNR.

You were exactly right--they had to remove and then reinsert my SM number in order for it to show up in the NWA system. It took talking to three different service reps, but the third one knew what she was doing...not that it will help me get upgraded after all the upgrades have been distributed, but at least I could pick an exit row seat. Thanks.

Arrrrgh.
Haven't been here in awhile. Leave it to the award booking tool to bring me back.
So, I have a bunch of Fairmont PC certs to redeem before the end of February. Trying to search different locations ex ATL for award tickets. First tried Calgary. Looking good. Then, tried Toronto. The result:
Well, I know this isn't true, as ITA shows a number of (albeit expensive) nonstops.
Then, I try ACA ...
Now, this could be because of the Aeromexico legs, but that still doesn't explain YYZ?
Frustrated once again.
EDIT: Firefox 3.5.6, Mac OSX 10.5.8

Is My Memory Failing Me?
I tried to get on delta.com just now to book RT XNA-STR, using "Lowest Fare" as my main criterion.
As I entered my departure and return dates, I was--as usual--taken to the first (outbound) "Available Flight Segments" page.
I _thought_ (through a long while of doing this and several trips to Europe every year) I would be presented with fares associated with the various outbound itineraries, so I could pick the ones that were cheapest. But I saw no fares at all until I selected a return segment as well (when I was presented with the total fare).
As I remember things, I was always presented with a fare as I entered the outbound segments, letting me choose the cheapest options as I went along.
I called delta.com support (888-750-3298) and spoke to a seemingly nice lady with a strong accent who esentially said "It's an international flight, so you won't see your fare until you build the whole thing."
She may well be right, but that is not how I remember things. I went over to nwa.com and was presented with what I wanted, but I would rather book on delta.com. But frankly, I don't want to spend the hour or so it will take to find out which combinations and permutations add up to the lowest fare.
Can anyone tell me if I am remembering right that I used to see fares as I built up the ticket?
(And I'm not a novice at this, as I did 164,000 MQMs this year, all on delta.com...)
Thanks.

Delta has a fun way of labeling the A-380:

I received 2 seperate emails about Threshold Bonus (100,000 mile & 125,000 mile). I redeemed the 100,000 mile bonus and am trying to redeem the 125,000 mile bonus but it will only display the redemption page for the 100k threshold bonus. I have emailed twice to Delta Skymiles Service Center over the last week with no response.
Please contact me via PM to resolve this issue
Thanks!
