QR apparently flew a flight from LGW to DOH using a blend of jet fuel and synthetic kerosene.

I knew SA flew their planes using coal based GTL technology/fuel but it's expensive, but Qatar sits on top of some massive amounts of natural gas and the process is somewhat simpler. This could be big.
