United couldn't keep running like they were, and has a LOt of work yet to do, otherwise they won't exist in a year or two anyway. |

That's why I don't interfere when someone posts "I'm leaving (SkyTeam partner)".
You just have to pick your poison and contrary to popular belief, the grass on the other side is rarely greener. |

If you can fly on the off times, off routes and off dates, CO's system is fantastic. If the planes don't break and you make your connection, CO's system is fantastic. However if you don't, then you've got (or at least from my point of view as a Plat on CO, EXP on AA and 1K on UA) a materially inferior product. CO's having to play catch up and I don't think there's any way to argue against that and in the upcoming alliance we have seen (and I suspect we will continue to) CO having to improve itself (on the customer & loyalty front) more than UA. The good news is that CO's is willing to change and adapt and do so in a manner that takes into consideration their stakeholders. They deserve major credit for this IMHO and it's a shame their peers have not adopted a similar philosophy of working with their customers. Sorry for the soapbox and I hope you continue to enjoy an excellent EUA rate. :) |

Now taking constructive criticism on my new and improved signature. Does the joke come across clearly enough? :D

My personal hangup is that we have folks who used to fly CO, no longer do, come in and, in essence, rant needlessly about the same thing. This is getting old. Of the two individuals, there is one that I respect a lot as he's a very bright guy, but at this point he just shows up to rant and say how broken CO is and I just don't get why. It's like the the breakup that he never had closure to. Since Scott came on board, a lot has happened to make things better and he will be the first to admit there are issues. He also does do a fair amount of work on the back-side to make things better, but being a corporate monolith, it's moving at a glacier's pace. |
