I am at EWR waiting for my 777 First seat down to IAH and then on to SNA :D

Enjoy! Domestic F flying doesn't really get better than that.

That doesn't sound too bad. You could be flying them a lot farther, or making a lot more stops along the way.

Happy to help. :)

G'morning, Box. The  appears strong out there this morning, despite the fact that many have today as a holiday. Be careful.

It does feel like a  day. I finally got e-mail from the hiring manager; I get the presentation information later today so I have a couple of days to prepare. We'll see what happens.

Yep, weather sucks all over the place. Not looking forward to potential flight issues this evening, especially since I have a 2.5 hour drive after I land in Houston.

Back up to Naconowhere this week?

That's good.

I had to do a similar thing for my current job — get sent a presentation, then fly up to Rochester, NY for a day to give it in front of a couple of people, and do a final in-person interview.

Yep.

I wonder if TSA will let me take the bottle of Tilex we have under the bathroom sink in my luggage? Might come in handy for the mildew in that Holiday Inn Express that the housekeepers seem to ignore.

If other threads are to be believed, EUA is "irreparably broken" and CO elites sit in the back "all the time" while F seats go out empty.

So, how many of you, in the nearly two years we've had the PDA website available, can confirm you were on a flight with empty F seats (I've had fewer than five or six of these) and there were elites still on the upgrade list when the door closed?

I've had well over 100 flights during that period, maybe 4-6 flights with at least one empty F seat, and on those rare occasions, the upgrade standby list was empty.

Am I just extremely lucky? Or is the  meter way off the chart over there? (I'm not really referring to the OP, which did experience a situation that is not fully explained yet. I'm mostly referring to other posters who try to claim this is a very frequent occurrence and CO has a serious problem with it.)

Mythbusters just proved in a new episode last week that knocking one's socks off is not possible. I'm sure the new cities will be pretty sweet though! :p

Pretty light week this week.....Manhattan on Tuesday (anyone want to meet up for a late lunch (around 2-ish??) and Chevy Chase, MD on Thursday (in & out on the train with no overnight so no time to meet up with anyone then).
