CO giving SWUs wouldn't surprise me. Upgrades on BF-Equipped routes to Hawaii would. UA's F seat and service to Hawaii are virtually indistinguishable from domestic F. CO's BF service to Hawaii on Widebodies and 752s is noticeably different from standard domestic F.

I think you're thinking of DL, who has 752s with either 26 or 24 F seats in the domestic configuration.

And lets not forget that you can indeed catch a widebody domestically somewhat regularly on UA.

I can't wait to see the shenanigans threads over in UA land.

Yep, it's becoming rare that I book an itinerary on UA that doesn't include a 767 or 777. They're easy to catch on flights between hubs.

I particularly like the fact that they listed WN on that chart.

blissworld and channa both have an extreme skewed view of CO, and obviously always book the lowest fares, i had better upgrades as silver than they as 'plat'.

Yeah I don't get the really low upgrade rates some Platinums on here post, unless they're only flying EWR-West Coast flights. There are a lot more domestic routes than transcons, but on here, sometimes you'd think that the only mainline service CO has are flights between EWR and the West Coast, which the occasional IAH-LAX/SFO/LAS flight.

I absolutely agree with you. Dead horse icon, anyone?

No kidding. I've seen an increasing number of upgrades processed at the gate on UA — and I've also seen two cases where I arrived at the gate late, and they had given my upgrade to someone else because I didn't come up when they called me. UA doesn't just print the boarding passes like CO when they clear you; they wait for you to come up, then look at your itinerary, and pull the upgrade instrument. Some agents will just move on if you don't show up after a few minutes. On the other hand, I didn't go posting about it on FT and demanding compensation either.

It's a company that deals with ~90 districts in the area. They post needs of member districts as they are known - don't have too many details about it yet since the job board on their site is currently empty.

At least openflights allows importing for free.

Are you importing 800+ flights to the Penalty Box FM, or your own? We only started the Penalty Box one on January 1, 2009.

When I started my personal FM in 2007, it took about a month to get all of my data entered.

I'll have you know most of my upgrades are on business-travel heavy routes on Mondays and Fridays. And my CO planes very rarely break, and I haven't missed a connection on CO in over a year, and I've only got about two missed connections in the last five years. So there. :p

Congrats on getting the creditials. I know some districts have cut back on subs (one sub for whole school ) as a cost cutting measure this year.

CO's having to play catch up and I don't think there's any way to argue against that and in the upcoming alliance we have seen (and I suspect we will continue to) CO having to improve itself (on the customer & loyalty front) more than UA.

The good news is that CO's is willing to change and adapt and do so in a manner that takes into consideration their stakeholders. They deserve major credit for this IMHO and it's a shame their peers have not adopted a similar philosophy of working with their customers.

Sorry for the soapbox and I hope you continue to enjoy an excellent EUA rate. :)

Congrats on AA Exp. When did that happen?

Yep. Real fair comparison there, considering it's the only airline in the chart that doesn't have a F cabin.
