Fortunately, I compost. I packed up my car with recycling and two small (e.g. grocery store plastic) bags of trash - the entire recycling center was closed because the compactor for trash broke. So I have an errand to do on the way home ...

It already involves doing runs, thanks to bat$hit loony fare rules (as compared to CO).

I think more people in BC spend the time to drive to Seattle and Bellingham,WA (aka Vancouver ) to get the cheaper flights than to put up with the high fares out of YVR. Even though the Alaskan cruise industry was down this year I heard more cruises departed from the Seattle area because of the high airfares to YVR and the issue of less than perfect, stellar, wholesome, idealistic Americans be denied entry into Canada.

Any seats left at table 1?

And the standard for entering the Flight Number is COxxxx, with the 2 letter IATA code for the airline, followed by no space and the flight number as four digits (add leading zeroes if needed).

Don't worry; if you get it wrong, someone else will fix it for you later. ;)

Wish there was a way I could import... having to enter all 800+ flights in by hand one at a time...

At least openflights allows importing for free.

Oh, I enjoyed how NW rules were much closer to UA rules; how else does one end up with 12 segments for $260?

Nope. Table 1 now has a lottery system for awarding of seats. :D:D:D:D:D

How else does an airline stay in Chapter 11 for three years?

icurhere2 Oct 13, 2009 11:04 am

I have a scheduled UPS delivery weighing 48.3 pounds tomorrow morning. Wonder what it could be ...

NW didn't file Chapter 22 like US (file Chapter 11, don't fix the problem that caused bankruptcy, exit and file Chapter 11 again).

ConciergeMike Oct 13, 2009 11:07 am

ElMundoDeBliss has decreed that if CO status gets upgrades on UA that he is fleeing to DL/AA.

"Chapter 22" made me snort. Bravo, sir.

But I'm GS. I demand a seat. And extra butter on my popcorn!

I had no problems whatsoever taking Amtrak from SEA to YVR. Early morning departure, to be sure, but the train left on time and got in on time. And, if you ask politely for a seat on the left-hand side of the train (going north), you can watch some really nice scenery go by.
