I'm living car free at the moment. Am curious to see what passes for "premium" from my local (city, not Airport-based) National rental counter for this weekend, as I haven't rented from them in weeks. I'm in no hurry to get a car. New digs are less than 3mi from Downtown, and convenient to the light-rail line.

Only small car I like at the moment is the older-model Honda Fit. The new one is a bit too bubble-car for my tastes. I might just pick up a low-mileage used one if I see one that's a good deal.

Not having a car is the way to go.

I just realized that I booked an oil change for 35 minutes ago. :o

Perhaps this semi-obscure car model repair business is more lucrative than I had thought. There must be a niche market for Yugo or Proton repair in Teh Pit.

My dealer was fine, and even saved me money on several occassions. But after the last experience, I decided to switch and have been pleased with the independent shop.

-OK...he might be right on this one. ;)

Honestly, I appreciate his frustration with being a 757 FO who is now on furlough but there is a difference between rational and reasonable discussions with management and fighting with customers.

Hehehe...actually as Jeff finished up with us the pilot grabbed him and talked at him for a few minutes. It was somewhat Jeff's fault for asking "So, are you coming over to Cleveland with us?" which got the guy talking about the fact that he was actually not flying these days. It looked bad for Jeff.
