The catering supplier is BaxterStorey, who took over the contract on 2 May 2013.

I had it last Wednesday and thought it was perfectly fine, but nothing special. The Scottish salmon marinated in beetroot, on the other hand, was excellent.

Small price to pay for a few hours in the CCR! Thank you. ^

Salmon - Superb!

BA Burger - As discussed with KARFA... The Beef is the perfect quality for a Burger, having Beef of any higher quality would in essence ruin the "Burger" experience.

Cheeses - A nice selection but I'm not a blue fan, what I did taste hit the spot perfectly.

It was pretty tasteless IMO. Portions are also on the small side, especially the chips.

It used to be a rather large portion, too large IMO. It was downsized about 12 months ago in to a more sensible portion. As mentioned above, if you want any extras or larger portions just ask, the staff will gladly oblige and it won't be too much trouble.

Last time I had the club sandwich back in August 2014 this is what I got.

I have seen a few recently and it has changed in form and size. It is one of the few menu items missing a photo from my menu guide, but I will add it next time I am in.

That looks fine as a portion size. Not sure how it could be downsized without becoming a bit of a joke...

Thanks Justonemore.

I have been meaning to do it for a while. When the menu changes I should be able to add photos of the new dishes fairly quickly as I am usually in the CCR every week or two. I will also have an archive post and move any retired dishes in to that for historical record.

I think we all salute your selfless act of ordering as many items on the menu as possible in the name of research and documentation

But seriously, for those of us who fly F every once in a blue moon (i'm twice a year or so) - it's a great resource to increase the anticipation. I'm flying next Tuesday and now really looking forward to it.

I just wish I was flying on a cycle that included the mushroom risotto - that was incredible

I had the club sandwich at the beginning of May...it was ok, certainly nothing special. Compare it with the marinated salmon starter and the steak we also ordered was certainly a bit underwhelming.

I just checked the picture I took and the size is about half of the club sandwich you had last August. I had the ruby slaw instead, so I am not sure about the size of the chips these days. The ruby slaw came in a bowl and the proportion was decent, but apart from that, there were only 2 sandwiches + a bit of salad.

good work on the pics, KARFA.

had the burger yesterday (with the tortellini) (followed by a double salmon). not sure I'll have it again (I've had it before). chips were good but I think Byron has been spoiling my burger taste a bit.

my travel companion had the chicken and said it was nice. I definitely like the salmon starter though miss the steak to go with my tortelini.

Its worth noting that they have some pretty exceptional vanilla and chocolate ice-cream 'off menu'. I always feel a little guilty ordering that for breakfast!

The CCR is one place where you need not feel guilty about the time of day or the menu selections you make, even when going off-piste.

You're right. I went through a period of tomato mozzarella, mushroom risotto addiction! I'm now into the salmon, crab tortellini, rhubarb cheesecake routine - I've only had it four times this month! But bring back the mushroom risotto (as long as it is the same as before)!
