It was full of ice creams this morning!

Thanks for the information! This post just come at the right place!
I will be flying BA578 (LHR/VCE) soon and this is my first time travelling on BA. I am OW Sapphire and I'm entitled to enter the lounge.
Any suggestions that which lounge will be better for me? I mainly concern about the dining environment and the choices of food/drinks, but do not really matter about whether the place is quite or not. What should I expect for my breakfast? I would be leaving hotel at 6am and I don't think I can grab a breakfast beforehand. Also, I am just travelling on Euro Traveller but not Club Europe.

Also, can someone tell me that if this flight normally departs at T5A or T5B/C?
Thanks a lot!!

Indeed, it almost always is!

I wonder whether cws was looking at the bar area to the left of the cinema, or at coffee area to the right of the cinema? It's the freezer adjacent to the coffee area where the ice cream is kept.

Yeah, I saw the freezer, nothing in it, but it was quite late by this stage so it may have been due restocking for the morning.

Galleries Club lounge LHR: Dining menu and food options 2013

If the reduced hours business is true then that's a major blow in my opinion. Even if you're on London time, traveling to the airport and then getting afternoon tea in CE or a LH flight where it takes a while to get the main meal, it could mean a significant amount of time without any 'real' food. I should be at GC south next week (around dinner time) so hopefully will get a chance to try out the new offering.

Would be interested to know what others think of the change (if it's true that is!).

I popped in to Galleries South for the first time in a couple of years yesterday at 11:45 and was extremely disappointed.

Maybe it was an unlucky time, but there was an incomplete salad bar, porridge and a whole counter of toast. The tables around were stacked up with 1/2 eaten plates of tomatoes and coleslaw - clearly most people were desperate to get some free food. I also thought the lounge smelled rather unpleasant.

I promptly downgraded myself to the pub outside.

I'm clearly going to have to get myself back up to Gold somehow.

A Baxter Storey lady in a suit seemed to be getting a lot of queries about the lack of hot breakfast/bacon rolls in the Galleries South club lounge at around 10.30 on Saturday morning. Apparently the hot breakfast finishes at 9.30 with lunch starting at 12. There was however toast, various pastries and cereal on offer as well as the salad bar if I remember correctly. I don't travel enough nowadays to know if these times are an 'enhancement' or not!

It has been confirmed that ice creams will no longer be served in Galleries Club. The fridge freezer has been removed.

A few extra photos added from yesterday.

I am NOT impressed by the changes

I was at LHR T5 Galleries South this past week, which is the first time that I have been there since the changeover. Since make OW Emerald (AA ExPl), I have been frequenting the Flounge instead. On my last trip, I travelled with two other companions who were eligible only for Galleries, so I thought I'd go along. The food is significantly downgraded, IMHO. Baked beans and a potato as a main option? Might also be my faulty memory, but the wine glasses seem to have shrunk as well. Now that there's no ice cream, there's another blow.
