Workaround for Login & "Were sorry, but united.com was unable to complete your request." Problems:

Close United tab, clear browser cache, and delete all United cookies. Instead of logging back in using the home page yellow tile, click on the "Reservations -> Change or view reservations" link, and then login using the "MileagePlus: Sign in or join" link on the upper right of the page.

Unable to select flights online yesterday or today using Firefox or Chrome. Windows Edge worked. Didn't matter if I was signed in or not. Simple domestic round trip. Chose departing flight, instead of giving me the list of return flights I got:

.Bomb stuck in foreign mode

I was recently in Japan and changed my country setting on .bomb to Japan (english). Now every time I log back in, the country sets back to Japan, even though I set it to USA each time.

Any way to avoid this?

Delete your cookies and clear your browser cache - this happens to me all the time....

I went to book LAS-PHX on May 6. Only one result shows up at $450.

Google Flights shows about 18 options ranging from $112-$338.

Come on UA IT!!!

I have had this issue while traveling through Asia (China, Hong Kong, Japan) because the website would detect my location and guess my language. My solution was to create a link in my browser Favorites/Bookmarks to the English pages:

https://www.united.com/ual/en/us/ or https://www.united.com/ual/en/jp/

I am about to kill UA IT
Have tried all kinds of different search parameters for a not too complex multi city itinerary. Can't get what I want at all; even though all individual legs have F,A,C,D available it comes back with no biz or first available.
Of course calling in is impossible too as GS quotes long wait times. Which means I'd end up with some fake GS agent.

Well, I see United is now plastering large "BUY MILES" ads right in the middle of itinerary displays on the reservations page.

So during my weekly Saturday morning checks to see what United has messed up, I get bombarded with crappy ad images...on every single itinerary.

Reservations bug

Log into the website (firefox) put in revised password, no problem try to get to existing reservations , system loses you dumps you out and you have to re log in

I vaguely recall this happening in the past too. Seems to be no rhyme and reason as for why and when it happens.

Currently having issues staying logged now, started around the same time as the award travel search issue. Highly irritating to log in, load a new page which shows me not logged in.

Agree with what KB1992 said..booking flights that include PVG give me nothing but that error over and over. Our planned trip is over a year away but even using dates within a 10 month time frame I just get errors.....Once I really start looking at my dates and keep getting errors I will be looking at other carriers.

It would also help if all of our booked itineraries would show up. My wife's account still does not show our ANC to LAS trip in July. It shows up on mine....makes on sense.

UAL.com ticketing error

Hi all

So, been trying to buy a ticket all morning for some travel in April, and after I select the flight, I get the following error:

We are unable to process your request. Please see the message below for details.

We’re sorry, but united.com was unable to complete your request. Please try later or contact united.com Support in the U.S. and Canada at 1-888-491-6573; the U.K., phone 0800 028 5003; elsewhere use the local phone number.


This is the first time I have tried to book since they changed the website, so wondering if it is a problem with my account, or if this is a glitch for today. Has anyone else received this error? It doesn't matter what flight I choose, or even the day - every selection ends up with this error.
