Couldn't you use the crew line if you have GE but no Nexus card? Though not sure what would happen if one didn't have a sticker on their passport - wonder if the agents can see that you are GE on the screen when they scan your passport.

If you use a non-airport location like that, you can (or at least could) drop into any airport facility without appointment to add the iris scan. I did that at YUL, after getting an easy interview at Champlain NY.

In Vancouver the current wait time is about 7 months. I keep checking to reschedule for a closer date.

Thanks for the info, how often are you checking GOES to see if another appointment slot opens up?
|
I must have checked hourly or even more frequently whenever I happened to be online. I'd log in, see appointments 3 months out at the various Ontario/New York border offices, and Pearson as well.
Then with a few days' notice, saw one open up at Rainbow Bridge, and took it. All in all, about 1 month from application, pre-approval, and acceptance into the program. I have a friend who just applied, and I tell her to keep checking frequently and if it's urgent, take a half-day off and make that drive out of the city.

I just did this too. Approved online Dec 12, scheduled an appointment at YYZ for April 24 but kept checking every couple of days. Grabbed a cancelled slot on Jan 12 a few days beforehand and went in. It was dead! Agents were talking about how slow it was and how many no shows they had. I'm lucky though as I work from home I was flexible enough to take any time slot any day. So that obviously helps.

Had the interviews today. Both interviews and iris scan took 13 minutes. Found out they aren't taking car registrations anymore (new to me). Looking forward to using the new card. |

I showed up during a layover last year and asked if there were any cancellations. They said I could wait and see if no one showed. This was at YVR. There had been some no shows in the morning but everyone showed up when I was waiting.

As with everything, YMMV, but here is an earlier report:
But if you walk in, ask if there are any no shows, and if they could handle your appointment, and just be polite (that's the key!), I'm curious if they'd take you. I guess if you're in the area, it can't hurt to try. |
has anyone been taken in for secondary inspection from the nexus lane and have them say the supervisor will decide on whether or not to revoke your nexus?
